October 6, 201410 yr almost every other group have tried and failed (Wonderland, Stooshe, Perfume) Belle Amie, Mini Viva, Girls Can't Catch, the girls who sang Fizzy Letuce...and those are kind of recent. It's definitely not easy for a girlband to have a career. Edited October 6, 201410 yr by DoggySwami
October 6, 201410 yr People need realize that the girls are the first ones who don't want to change their current status. They and their team work as a family and a more hectic schedule, with a management that only works for its own benefit, would have probably destroyed them years ago, like it has destroyed most groups in history. You beg for something different, but we don't know how things could have turned out with other people in charge. Peter has got them international deals, reality shows, producers like Darkchild and Xenomania, collaborations with Flo Rida and Sean Paul, he has launched them individually as celebrities and has made them basically a self-sufficient band. Let's just appreciate the fact they are one of the longest-running girlgroups of the recent decades and that for some crazy reason they've been able to have six album releases, with a seventh one due in a few months. Polydor is only still keeping them because it's not the flop albums and singles, it's the amount of endorsements the girls bring in instead. This still bring sin money for them. Frankie being on SCD, Una being a judge on Voice of Ireland, it's all bringing in money to compensate for the bad sales. Eventually they will lose these as they grow older and then the label will stop getting money from them. But yeah it's crazy how long they've lasted. Yeah as much as they flop and shit, they're definitely up there with Girls Aloud/Sugababes/Spice Girls as one of the UK's most popular girl bands. Besides Little Mix, no other girl band has arrived and had tours or big success after The Saturdays. Even if Little Mix seem bigger at the moment, most sats songs will seem more of a classic in the future  I can't see people jamming to wings five years into the future (maybe DNA?) but Issues and Up are just such classics. And he's right, he's done a lot more for the girls than Jayne ever did. And if they were to change management, then they would lose that special deal they have with Polydor/Fascination (being one unit these days).

October 7, 201410 yr Oh Ok  Aw sorry, didn't mean to come off as rude or anything...But it's complicated. Like, really complicated. I should have bookmarked the page with all the details about the whole situation, details that really explained what it was all about ('Fascination' being both their label and management, the link with Polydor, etc.) I need to get that thing back up.
