Yeah Spongebob should just not be computer animated.

Spoiled it for me. Cartoon or nothing.

I've never been a viewer of the TV show so this is just the opinion of someone who went because the trailer looked good.

At the time I thought it was taking too long setting up before they actually came up into our world but the scenes above water and with the pirate eventually ended up being the weakest parts of the movie for me. It was funny in places, I LOVED Bubbles and I liked Alan Carr voicing a seagull but overall it fell a bit flat for me. I'd agree with Oliver that SpongeBob should stick to being a cartoon, a bit like how The Lego Movie should not have mixed in the human world.

I don't understand how this has a 30%+ better rating on Rotten Tomatoes than "Home"? In terms of kids movies I enjoyed the latter a LOT more.

The whole cinema experience was quite odd too because there was some mix-up where the trailers included Hot Tub Time Machine 2 and Fast & Furious 7 as opposed to the likes of Minions and Inside Out

I also saw this film because the trailer looked great. ALL of the best bits were in the trailer though, and it is nowhere near as computer animated / real life heavy as the trailer suggests. Whilst I don't think it's completely awful, and I'm sure kids will love it, I walked out of the cinema wondering what I was on. Everything was just incredibly random and bizarre!

I agree, Home was FAR better than this!
