'I Do' is the biggest highlight out of those! It is pretty unorthodox with all the styles of music it incorporates, but it totally works. Avalonia's best entry of 2016!

'Free Somebody' came SO close to being the first Daehun entry I gave points to at all, but alas just missed out. The production is pretty great.

I did not get 'Tequila' at the time of the contest but it ended up growing on me an enormous amount since then! Such a beautiful song. Big up Finland.

'All Night Long' was a definite Yehesi highlight this year. Same with 'All For Love' being one of my Ashton favourites this year. I didn't quite vote for it, but it is good for what it is and turned out to be a grower. (Jack & Jack let it down a bit tho)

So the top 10 contains:

Aeroche

Altyr Muunilist

Land of DW

Taahino

Ultraviolenceland (X3)

Unovia

Yehesi (X2)

Allie X was a great start to winners in 2016. I knew the song beforehand from it being an Altyr potential last year; I was so glad it finally got sent at last by someone.

Bang Le Decks was such a fantastic winner. It was a shame I didn't quite get very invested into the Michael hosted contest that followed, due to being on holiday for most of it.

Girli is such a queen. A shame that 'Girl I Met On The Internet' didn't quite catch on in the same way as SYTYCFWMDY did!

K3 and KOLAJ were huge growers since the contest. I wish I had voted for them now! But they both did incredibly well anyway.

(Thumbs up to 'Call Of The Mountains' and 'Wild Horses' too)

10. Crystalyne - Punks Don't Dance | Taahino

"She looks like a pop tart, toast that!"

Hello! Since we have finally reached the top 10, I will be giving a comment to each song posted from now on. We start with Taahino's final appearance of the year with the pop punk infused track 'Punks Don't Dance'. This quirky number has a variety of bizarre lyrics which just make you laugh. I feel like Taahino could do pop really well and I hope they experiment next year (if they are still participating).

9. Sophie Beem - Skyline | Aeroche

"Everything can change by morning..."

YASSSSSSS AEROCHE, YASSSSSSSSS! Oh my lord, this floored my existence. I always knew that when Aeroche switches it up, they go HARD and my god, they did with this. I wish I had given this my 18 now (despite it getting 15) because it really is incredible. In fact, the track recently went to #1 in Hushkanukia! More jams like this please.

8. SAARA - I Do | Altyr Muunilinst

"Keep me drunk in your bloody bliss..."

Ugh, Altyr always brings it. Their entries are always full of inspiration and really do represent the best of Buzzjack Song Contest. I really have grown to love this as the year has gone on and cannot believe it did not smash hard into the top 5 - it really deserved to. SAARA'S vocals remind me of Charli XCX mixed with Nina Nesbitt which is maybe why I love it so much

2x me in the top 7 tho, can we appreciate this slayage

7. Ward Thomas - Carry You Home | Land Of DW

"If you need a light, I'll help you find a reason to believe..."

Another song that smashed the Hushkanukia charts this year, peaking at #2! I was actually quite shocked when I saw that this was being sent by the Land of DW. It is such a beautiful track and the twins voices go perfectly together. Of course, it is country so it didn't slay the contest, but deserves all the praise it can get, STUNNING!

6. Ana Mena - No Soy Como Tú Crees | Ultraviolenceland

"Un Romeo de gimnasio puro bla bla bla"

Finishing at #6 is a former Hushkanukian #1 and indeed the first of 3 entries for Ultraviolenceland, No Soy Como Tú Crees. Ana Mena, the future queen of Spanish pop, unleashed this as her debut single this year - which is very Meghan Trainor! Ana went for the modern doo-wop sound which seems to be very in this year and earned herself top marks from the Hushkanukia juries!

5. Lucy Hale - Lie A Little Better | Ultraviolenceland

"The truth is I'm fallin' to pieces anytime that you're around..."

After charting top 10 in 2015, Hushkanukia were thrilled to see it's sister country Ultraviolenceland send this country jam. Sung by Pretty Little Liars actress Lucy Hale, the track combines country with pop to make a radio friendly track that will put a smile on anyone's face. Such a fantastic track and a brilliant start to the top 5

4. TP4Y - Blush | Yehesi

"Do you dream of a girl who likes to be in control?"

It is known for causing drama ( #BLUSHGATE) but is one of our favourite entries of the year. This see's Yehesi lose the first of two tracks in the top 5. Speaking of top 5, Blush managed to have a respectful chart run in Hushkanukia's official charts and spent 3 weeks top 5 selling over 500,000 copies! This dance-pop track is a guaranteed banger which really did deserve the success that it gained!
