1 Ed Sheeran - x (18.1k)

2 The Gaslight Anthem - Get Hurt (7.9k - 19 copies ahead of Sam Smith) *

3 Sam Smith - In The Lonely Hour (7.9k)

4 Dolly Parton - Blue Smoke - The Best Of (6.8k)

5 George Ezra - Wanted On Voyage (5.8k)

6-10

6 OneRepublic - Native ^

8 Richard & Adam - At The Movies *

9 The Saturdays - Finest Selection - The Greatest Hits *

If 'What Are You Waiting For' was supported and they had better promotion they would have easily been top 4. The Saturdays managed 835 sales on Thursday for Finest Selection which was the lowest with #11 managing 1008 sales.

09. The Saturdays - Finest Selection 5087

10. Coldplay - Ghost Stories 4745

11. Paolo Nutini - Caustic Love 4702.

12. Ellie Goulding - Halcyon 3696

Looks like 'Finest Selection' will manage a peak at #11 with around 7,000 sales - it's such a shame that they never bothered to do any album signings as had they done this on Thursday, Friday and Saturday I'm pretty sure it would have been opening sales of 9,000 which should have been enough for #04 at least!

Our last hope for 'Finest Selection' is that Tumble gives them a massive effect on the album chart and they climb to a new peak.

I'm holding out for that, too. If it's a good performance and they choose the songs wisely, I really do think it could re-peak, especially as it's the lead-in for dr who.

This is such a shame and will more than likely be the end now. Their label can't justify keeping them on. :(

Don't get your hopes up. They performed on Strictly last year and neither the song or album so much as even went top 200 on iTunes, and they also performed on Top Of The Pops and it done nothing. The Not Giving Up promo done nothing and their Lotto performance last week didn't even get the song that high on pre-orders. Promo is apparently useless for the girls. :(

Finally bought my copy! Sats stans need to be out in force today because looking at the sales, it's likely to enter at #11, a couple of hundred copies adrift of the all important top ten. Surely the stans can club together to buy those crucial last few albums to get it into the top ten!?!

Because the Strictly audience was their key demographic................ But that's another discussion.

It'll be interesting to see what exactly they do after this considering this is arguably their least costly campaign.

I think this is probably the most overused expression they've probably used in their careers!

There were like 12 million viewers. For that to equate to only about 50 sales on iTunes is very sad, demographic or not.

The strictly performance was a bit worrying, but the song did go up like 700 places. Pretty poor it didn't enter the top 200.

But, it was a lack-luster performance, (probably rushed as they only found out they were doing it like 12 hours before) of a song that really didn't suit Strictly. I still think a performance of Disco Love would have gone down a lot better.

A medley should go down well, it'll be watched by 4 - 6 million people (maybe more), with the lead into Dr Who. So if it's a high energy performance it will help the album, I'm sure. I doubt it'll re-peak, but should definitely climb from the dark corners of the chart it'll find itself NEXT Sunday.

Your posts are 90% of the time spot on so hopefully you're right!

The MTV Live Vibrations thing is on now! So mimed :puke:

EDIT: Una going on about how they all get along and Frankie's face was like no shut up you're boring me

Edited by SB.

What did they perform?

I tuned in at the end of What About Us, then they did Issues (acoustic), Higher and What Are You Waiting For. They NEED to sack their stylist, their image is making them look so old and boring!

I like their styling, but then I'm 24, not 16 anymore  -_- It seems like the public prefer their campy, funny and colorful styling.

I'm 19 approaching 20 and prefer their styling from just before OYR, it was so much more fun. I think if they dress a bit more youthful and stop with the Grannie skirts people may actually see they aren't old and motherly (they kinda' are but shhhhh!)!

Notorious was quite good too, to be fair B-)

Tumble barely got three million viewers in week one, I can only see that going down. Yes people will be tuning in to see Doctor Who, but I don't think the cross over will be that high. Particularly as the performance won't be closing the show. There will be like 10-15 minuets with results after.

I'm gonna lie, those sexy black dresses (and later one, the white ones) were amazing as f***. :cheer:
