August 12, 201410 yr But Totto, the worse The Saturdays do, the less likely we'll ever get anymore of them. Maybe I'm secretly hoping Rochelle to go solo :kink:
August 12, 201410 yr Surely some of you are underestimating how much of a job it is to be a Mum? But Totto, the worse The Saturdays do, the less likely we'll ever get anymore of them. Not necessarily, they can easily release music on a smaller label if worst comes to worst.
August 12, 201410 yr Surely some of you are underestimating how much of a job it is to be a Mum? My Mom used to work 6 days a week with 3 kids when we were younger, they barely work 3 days with 3 children between 5 of them haha! So they can't really use that as an excuse :)
August 12, 201410 yr Really hope this gives the girls the kick up the arse they need. Look at artists like Jessie J, she had one day off last week & will be working everyday until Christmas to promote her Single & new album. Yet The Saturdays do 1 week work and have to go on holiday for the ext 3 months just to recover. :( You'd think a flop fifth album would be a kick up the ass but apparently not :( Maybe I'm secretly hoping Rochelle to go solo :kink: http://cdn.gifbay.com/2013/02/everybody_do_the_flop-33499.gif :kink: Totto, I've always wondered; are you a guy or a girl? :P
August 12, 201410 yr Surely some of you are underestimating how much of a job it is to be a Mum? I really do, but is that really the problem though? I don't think they should get sympathy for that, they still have to do their jobs to be honest. Although I do give them a lot of respect. Totto, I've always wondered; are you a guy or a girl? :P If I was a girl, Marvin wouldn't be with Rochelle right now :kink:

August 12, 201410 yr The mum thing is not an excuse. They have time to go on numerous holidays. My mum worked full time when I was growing up and she surely could not afford the childcare, nannies, etc that the girls can afford. And for much less time needed, they only need to work like 3/4 times over 3 weeks around a release to GET THAT PROMO.
August 12, 201410 yr They just have never recovered since Wordshaker flopped have they. WORDWUT? To be fair the girls recovered with Headlines and full on flopped from there onwards! hey only need to work like 3/4 times over 3 weeks around a release to GET THAT PROMO. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc1i2n9OCO1rreg59.jpg
August 12, 201410 yr I think they had BIG dreams after Chasing Lights. They were talking about Asia and global domination and stuff. Then Wordshaker flopped and they had to work hard to save their image a bit and after tons of work the Headlines era was a success and they were a success again. Then 2011 arrived and they had Vanessa losing her voice and having alcohol problems, Frankie getting depressed, Una becoming pregnant, their airplay f***ed up and they had two tours and a huge album flop so they probably realized it just wasn't worth it trying to push themselves too hard. They then took the US deal because they thought they could become global stars with a reality show and weren't prepared to put the work in, especially with Rochelle's pregnancy. They got their big #1 single which was all they ever wanted, then Frankie/Rochelle were both in pregnancies and Gentleman killed their airplay again and they had another huge flop album. Not Giving Up was released to shut the fans up and now we're here, they're flopping again. So basically a combination of pregnancies, bad management, radio abandoning them, laziness and personal problems have delayed them becoming megastars and it's far too late to recover now. A summary of their career, let's face it. ^
August 12, 201410 yr Not sure if it's been mentioned or not but Morrisons are stocking the album, near the top. Source: My Mum Edited August 12, 201410 yr by jsilv
August 12, 201410 yr regarding the Tour Edition, didn't someone here email asking when they'd be dispatched, with an answer along the lines of "there was a high demand" plus the fact people ordered that version without realizing, must be at LEAST 1K of those sold right?

A summary of their career, let's face it. ^ When was Asia discussed? :o I seriously think the main points that have killed their careers are: 1. Releasing MHTO as the lead a week to OYR 2. Rochelle's pregnancy 3. Gentleman as WAU follow up (I love the song though! Source: My Mum What's your name, Aoife Belle Foden? I hope your mum purchased it  Mines probably at home spinning my copy now as I'm away atm! regarding the Tour Edition, didn't someone here email asking when they'd be dispatched, with an answer along the lines of "there was a high demand" plus the fact people ordered that version without realizing, must be at LEAST 1K of those sold right? That's true!

It's kinda weird if you go and tell her some weirdo on the internet told you she's amazing Edited August 12, 201410 yr by *Tim
August 12, 201410 yr Yeah I would have expected them to have sold 1 - 2k of the tour edition minimum, that's why 2.7k seems strangely low, even for the Saturdays.
