Asda is cheap and there is to way Quen Rochele would let her album be stalked where peasants shop!

If shes making the decisions it's no surprise they've started to flop so badly as a group :kink:

So why do they stock it in the same shop that supports Nadine :(

It did cross my mind earlier that if Girls Aloud, a group who were ten times more popular than the Sats had most of it's members fail at going solo, then I highly doubt any of the girls would make it solo. No need to watch out in Asda for those solo albums B-)

None of them really ventured out of the group and imposed themselves as solo celebrities (except Cheryl which in the end did turn out to be the only successful one) like our girls are doing right now.

I don't really believe any of the girls could get more success than they already had with the group (unlike Cheryl for example), but I don't think a few solo minor hits is out of the question, depending on when they attempt that (some of them are nearing the 30s and one of them already is older than 30, and with Radio 1 being ageists apparently and the girls not being ready to split up yet ...)

Agreed, I think all of their career successes have peaked with the group!

I suppose Cheryl had a massive surge from being on X-Factor and being married to a footballer (at the time) whereas the others weren't lucky. As much as Marvin is doing Capital/This Morning etc, Rochelle, let alone Una, stands no chance of making it solo, especially as you say, the ageist malarky at Radio One!

#25 in todays midweeks.

I predict it will end the week at #24 as every album in the 20-30 section outsold them today.

It's low on iTunes and amazon! The buys must be coming from stores?

Living For The Weekend could never...

If they are still planning on using the advert, the week from Sunday after Tumble could actually have them re-peak.

Does that not mean they'll fall?

Does that not mean they'll fall?

No because they've sold more so far this week overall but on that certain day the other albums in the top 30 sold more than they did.

I think they'll end the week at #25. There's two new entries which could drop below them, and I imagine they'll remain fairly stable from the weekend shopping boost this week. Also, Tumble might give a last minute boost to its digital sales.
They should release Walking Through the Desert at some point. Would be nice for this to slowly sell in the build up to Christmas where sales will eventually pick up; it would make a great stocking filler for any pop fan.

I don't know if Walking Through The dDesert would be a good decision. It could be a good song to sell the album if it gets any airplay, but 808 would do better as a single imo.

They should release another single imo as this is the most stable a Sats album has been for a while I think. Maybe even with a tour video?

A single will do nothing for the album or as a single unless they can get it on the damn radios.

Their only two options I can think of for getting back on the radio are:

808 with a guest rapper.

Walking Through the Desert as a charity single. (Radio 2 and Heart would play it)

Walking Through The Desert would be a good single for Children in Need tbf.
I honestly think a nationwide radio tour would be good. If tumble gives the Sats a good boost, then radios might take note if it's popular. I mean if it does get a flood boost then it stands to reason that the public are still interested and if they are still interested well the radios should play them to increase listnership etc...
The fact they haven't done any album signings is infuriating :(

When the tour starts in September, the album will sell through that, too. And give it a boost of some kind. People buy the album after they've enjoyed a gig or before to get ready for it. Especially as some sell the CD at the gig with the merchandise.

Girls Aloud jumped from 104 the week before their tour to 74 the next week (when it started at the end of the week) and then went 63-60-64 during the weeks where they had a full week of touring. Obviously The Saturdays' tour will be a lot smaller, but I expect it to do SOMETHING for the album.

In theory though, wouldn't anyone who is going to the tour already own the album?

I think what may have helped GA more is it being quite a highly publicised tour.
