August 7, 201410 yr Is there any release date for this new single yet? I assume it's held back as it's not been put up On iTunes since the premiere midweek!
August 8, 201410 yr Listened to this a few times and I'm quite liking it... it's really not a comeback single to build on his previous momentum though is it? I was expecting something a little more radio friendly from him.
August 8, 201410 yr The album is apparently out on 20th October so the single will probably be 13th Thanks didn't know the album release either - such a wait though :(
August 8, 201410 yr About time. He's been listening to a lot of The National and Talk Talk apparently - sounds PROMISING.
August 8, 201410 yr I LOVE THIS I adore Ben Howard's music in general but this is on another level entirely.
August 8, 201410 yr Thanks didn't know the album release either - such a wait though :( The other option is that they make it an instant grat when the album goes up for pre-order
August 8, 201410 yr ^^Thats true if like to see more artists do this as it wouldn't be totally OAOS but it would make sense. For instance The Script or Maroon 5 could have done this last week and I'm sure Maps/Superheroes would have stayed steady in the top 40 at least!
August 19, 201410 yr I Forget Where We Were has been released to itunes so I assume it's the first single maybe? Either way, I'm going to have to accept that he's changed his sound a little bit on this album and that things just aren't going to be as melodic as they were last time around. They're both okay tracks but my expectations for the album are definitely much lower than they were before.
August 21, 201410 yr I'm liking both of these though I think 'End of the Affair' is the much better of the two.
August 22, 201410 yr http://s3.sandbaguk.com.s3.amazonaws.com/catalog/product/cache/312/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/i/_/i_forgot_where_we_were_packshot.jpg 1. "Small Things" 2. "Rivers in Your Mouth" 3. "I Forget Where We Were" 4. "In Dreams" 5. "She Treats Me Well" 6. "Time is Dancing" 7. "Evergreen" 8. "End of the Affair" 9. "Conrad" 10. "All is Now Harmed" 11. "Am I in Your Light?" (vinyl-only) I like the singles! The title track is far more commercial than anything he's released to-date but that's not to say it's a bad thing. Hopefully he'll be able to build on the momentum created with his BRITs wins/"Only Love" to get another hit out of it. "End of the Affair" is sublime though, it'd hardly feel out of place on Every Kingdom (again, not a bad thing). I'm very much looking forward to hearing the whole thing now!
September 24, 201410 yr I absolutely love 'I Forget Where We Were' as an album title! Particularly fitting for the follow-up to a successful debut, I feel (although thinking about it, 'End Of The Affair' may also be very appropriate, who knows ). Really like what I've heard. 'End Of The Affair' is lovely . His voice is very special. Also, he did Live Lounge this week and managed to make 'Hideaway' tolerable :o, if anyone's interested: gCHMzYYYKiU
October 17, 201410 yr It's here and omg it's so f***ing good. Conrad tho! *.* The album doesn't sound as commercial as everyone thought it would be oops
October 17, 201410 yr I really feel like there is a lack of progression on this album. Way to similar to the first without the decent melodies. I dont know, was so excited and I really want to like this but i just can't
October 20, 201410 yr I was anticipating this so badly then got a bit wary after hearing the title track... but listening now and am really enjoying it, it's definitely not as commercial but everything feels like it will grow.
