well at least it's still quite broad. Would prefer the themes to allow for recent songs too as they'll suit some of the contestants more but I'm sure they can modernise an 80s song easily where appropriate

A nice relevant theme which is perfect for popstars these days, great :)

In fairness all they did for half the contestants with this theme of #1s was force current songs onto them that don't even suit them for the sake of being current/relevant, at least they can't do that with 80s

Just waiting for that Spice Girls vs Girls Aloud week.

would be a great idea for when there's 5/6 contestants left actually, can't wait for Mel B and Cheryl's shade towards the other's girlband whenever a song of theirs is performed

Genius idea Jay

As for 80s, I have a feeling Blonde Electra would be in their comfort zone? I can imagine a whacky stage setup :P

Week 2's theme is 80s songs!

Another Kim Wilde classic next week than for Blonde Electra -_- I'm sure Louie got the wrong week

Probably did!

Has the ordering leaked at all?

Probably did!

Simon: "Louie Kids In America peaked at #2"

Louie replies: "I thought the theme was 80s night"

Simon: "Its next week"

Louie: "Really... I didn't get the memo"

:D

I doubt anyone on the show will pick up on the fact Kids In America wasn't a UK #1  Most of the general public wouldn't question whether it went to #1 anyway, plus the theme is 'number ones' and not 'UK number ones' so there's always that excuse if it does get called out for 'not sticking to the theme'

All performances are on iTunes right now  I assume they're studio versions. Anyway, confirms the wildcards, and their song choices, as:

Jack Walton - Only Girl (In The World)

Overload Generation - I Kissed a Girl (yup they've got a new name)

Stevi Ritchie - Livin' La Vida Loca

Lola Saunders - Stay With Me

So as the rumours suggested! The new boyband are also now called Stereo Kicks.

Glad they finally have done proper studio versions, now they just need to let them chart!
Stevi Ritchie - Livin' La Vida Loca

lawd :drama:

why even try when this happened?

there's no way he'll be better than Wagner

Well, ordering the album by popularity puts Stephanie and Fleur joint top with no popularity for the others. I guess they must have had 1 download each or something! :kink:

So... how many are leaving tomorrow night 4 acts  otherwise it will go over into the new year.
i wonder if the album order is the running order? In that case Andrea Faustini is first and they're saving Stevi for last :drama:

I think they will just be a few double eliminations I think just one act is going this week.

Good god what awful song choices there aside from Lola, and that's horrifically predictable.

I'm glad Lola is the wildcard for the girls; I didn't think much of her middle performances in arena/bootcamp but LOVED her performance at Judges Houses!

One? Damn that's dull -_-

Apparently of the songs for next week have been revealed on Xtra Factor (I didn't watch though):

Stevi - Addicted To Love (another song Wagner performed, ridiculous :/)

Only The Young - The Power Of Love (Huey Lewis and The News, not Jennifer Rush/Frankie Goes To Hollywood)

Jake - Total Eclipse Of The Heart (this is going to be AWFUL I imagine)

Chloe- Call Me

Only The Young - The Power Of Love (Huey Lewis and The News, not Jennifer Rush/Frankie Goes To Hollywood)

I LOVE that song! could be a good performance.
