Amazing comeback from Derby on Tuesday night, 2-0 down but won 5-2! Home draw against Chelsea in the quarter finals which will be very interesting.

Quarter-Final fixtures:

Derby - Chelsea

Sheffield United - Southampton

Tottenham - Newcastle

Bournemouth - Liverpool

A re-run of Spurs/Newcastle should be fun and all the non-PL teams have home ties! Very interesting fixtures...

Good effort from Derby against Chelsea tonight I thought. A silly mistake gave Chelsea their first goal and their second was a wonder free-kick, but when we got that goal back and continued to apply pressure after that goal I thought extra-time could be on at least! Such a shame we got that sending off, it seemed very harsh and while I can see why it was given it seemed harsh and the commentators agreed. It ruined a potentially fantastic end to the match but there were definitely positives for Derby!

Great win for Sheffield United though, Southampton's amazing form seems to be coming to a sudden end.

Agreed Sheffield look to becoming a great cup side, good for them. I always knew this would happen to Southampton. There was no way they could sustain that level of form, and as soon as people started mentioning Top 4 they failed away. I think that's five defeats in a row now.

Would it be silly to suggest that Bournemouth should be favourites to win tonight?

Given the number of places between the teams and the fact that Bournemouth are at home, some might say it wouldn't be that big a shock.

Come on you Cherries :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Newcastle got well and truly humped by Tottenham. ^_^
Good game that, never in doubt. Played much better than usual too - pleasing for the future because that's two times in a row we've played OK.
Liverpool were clearly the better team but Bournemouth played very well at times. Liverpool took their chances well and Bournemouth didn't.

Yeah was a good game. Shame we were like Bournemouth against Man Utd.

I didn't see much of the game but Bournemouth missed an absolute sitter just after Liverpool got their second goal. Could have been a game changer.

Yes, that could have made a big difference but he seemed to panic and sent his shot well over the bar. They also missed a very good opportunity in the first five minutes.

I guess that's generally the biggest difference between Premiership and Championship clubs. Obviously Premiership players are technically better with the ball, but the quality in both boxes is the main difference.

That was the best I've seen Liverpool play since we beat Man Utd at Old Trafford last season. Gave Chelsea a real good game. I'm pleasantly optimistic for the rest of the season now, main thing is we're becoming hard to beat again.
