Listening to this and then Paloma's new one right after showcases the difference in quality.

I think her voice really suits the verses actually, but I do agree that even with production she sounds like she is struggling with the big notes. It's the best song for her voice, as I said. Hopefully she will mime with performances, we don't want another Gary Barlow duet situation...

Hmmm, it's decent but I have to echo the chorus complaints. In one sense, the chorus does it's job because I heard it 10 minutes ago and could still sing it to you, so it's effective in that manner. However, I do find it pretty weak, annoying and brattish lyrically, strained vocally and all those comments about the polished production seem odd to me because I was specifically thinking the opposite.

 

I don't really find it all that interesting either. I hated the saxophones of CSL initially but there was something so infectious about it, I kept having to go back, don't really get that with this even though it should be a better song.

The only thing that gets to me is the abrupt swearing (which shouldn't be an issue given half the songs on my iTunes are explicit lol, but it doesn't work as well here). The verses, particularly the first, more than make up for it though and I'm sure I'll grow to love the chorus eventually too.

It's growing on me very fast, million times better and catchier than CSL. Her vocals aren't great but that's not a surprise really is it? Not like she's going to perform it live!

It was instant for me. It's brilliant full stop. Amazing video. Relates to her perfectly pulls it off. Potential 5th No.1 single. XF performance will be brilliant. Like it alot one of her best singles.

Am I the only one thinking this could become the most iconic Cheryl song ever, after FFTL?

It's so catchy and instant, and there's something about it that makes it like a classic Cheryl song.

What's the opposite of a song growing on you? That's what this song has done to me. I thought it was good at first but her voice just doesn't sound suited to it.

Even my mam loves this song and she's not really a huge fan of solo Cheryl.. I'm loving it now too after initially not thinking much of it!

Same here! My mum also likes I Don't Care and she doesn't usually like her.

 

I do think this will do well, and the release schedule in its week of release and the week before are looking quite bare.

I'm ready for that iconic X Factor performance.
