I re-watched Caroline's Salsa and there were 2 moderately obvious mistakes/fumbles! I can't believe the judges didn't pick up on that, given that they were being so heavily critical last night.

 

I think Kevin's choreography for both Frankie's dances were great last night. Pasha is probably the best choreographer on the show though.

 

I find Caroline's dancing a bit...wobbly?

Honestly though, if the show is rigged or they have favorites, they must know that giving Caroline a 40 is going to hurt her more than help her. It obviously wasn't fair and makes the public feel bad for Frankie. That makes me think that they actually want Frankie.

Perhaps I'm over thinking it too much, but I did consider this as well. I thought that maybe they're holding out on Frankie to ensure that she gets her best "wow", 40/40 performances in the final. It almost seems as if Caroline has nowhere to go from now, she's peaked too soon.

I think that because Frankie is getting lower than deserved scores, it'll keep public votes up because they'll think she's not safe whilst Caroline's votes will drop as people will think she'll be safe anyways.

To be honest.

I don't think Caroline was worthy of 40 in the slightest, the best performance of Strictly Come Dancing was Pixie's Paso. Caroline is obviously well liked by the judges and she's the perfect winning story. She's gradually got better and better each week rather than remain constant on a weekly basis and Caroline will somehow be seen as the underdog.

 

 

It was good, but it showed so much how weak her arm games is compared to Frankie's. Same for Caroline, though. People think because it isn't a Waltz or something, suddenly the arms don't matter anymore in dancing...

 

She was really good in general, though.

I genuinely completely forgot about her being a coach (I read about Rachel Stevens being a coach the other day as well so idk why!) and for a few seconds I was like "um wtf oh god" then remembered!

That would be amazing. To be fair - repeating old dances, I think she'd do great at that. 80% of her previous dances I'm sure she could get 40s for. Showdance could be tricky though. However I thought her lifts were fine this weekend, and there are ways to get around loads of lifts, there are no rules - you don't have to have lifts at all.

Exactly, and it all depends on the lifts you do (or you do not do, because as you said, you are not told to do lifts). For example, the second lift they did in the Argentine Tango where Kevin circled around the floor while holding one of Frankie's leg was a really easy lift, but it still looked profesionnal and slick, you know? That probably didn't ask that much strenght from Frankie's upper body which is good as well.

 

I was reading on the DS forums that apparently Pasha isn't good with Showdance, but I thought it would have been one of his strenghts. He's basically into all the gimmicks he can put in one routine and Showdance allows him more than any other dances. :lol:
