How come Phillip Phillips made the chart? Is this an error?

Yes. It should actually be at #2.

Well with sales getting lower and lower, maybe he'll make #2 with his next album if the Idol crew get a copy each

I was asking how come he's charted because I thought that album came out years ago. But then sainsbury's have it as a new release. Weird.

It was only released last week in the UK (a few weeks after his second album, bizarrely). I'd say 95% of its sales were probably pre-orders (as it had been on pre-order for like a year).

Well, I would certainly regard buying that album as a error, but no it is legit.

Stiff Little Fingers are charting due to an error though - the sales figures from their pledge release were delivered late, so it should have charted some time ago.

The Stiff Little Fingers album is a re-entry to the top 200 so it did chart some time ago.

Yeah, the SLF album was released to the pledgers months ago, and was then made available through normal channels in August, which was where the one previous Top 200 week came from. Somebody at Haven asked them on Facebook, and they apparently confirmed it.
Is there a midweek chart thread anywhere on Buzzjack?

That's generally discussed here ;)

That's great :)

Such a bizarre situation. You must be right though because it makes no sense why the album including his current single didn't chart but the one with a year old single didn't.

Is there a place to get re-entries for the weekly top 100 singles in the 101-200 region?

Yes, but you have to pay for it.

Probably because people in the country have actually heard his single last year. I have no idea what his current single is even called.

Wasn't Home tacked onto his new album for the UK release anyway? So if people were buying his first album last week for that then they could have got it on the new album weeks ago!

Bray's explanation does seem like the only logical one.

Fair point if true (I admit I haven't studied his new album) but either way I don't think his current single is a factor so I agree with Bre. Especially since the release date was postponed, so people will have pre-ordered it expecting to get it a lot sooner than they did.

I just don't see what his label were trying to achieve by releasing his second album before his first. Unless they literally just forgot that the debut hadn't been released yet.
Zobbel only has the new entries. There used to be someone on UKMix who posted them, but they obviously had access to the top 200s... :)

Here on Buzzjack sadly there is no one who shares these informations. You had a thread about it, and we still cannot say anything new about it, sorry.

Try maybe the Haven forum, they somtimes posted some positions between 100 and 200

If I can be brutally honest, the 101-200 section of the chart is really quite dull - loads of deadwood bouncing around indefinitely, mixed with fan base tracks plummeting like a stone, and the very occasional interesting obscure indie hit (which you can find via Zobble anyway). OH and since July the odd early entry for streaming only singles. It used to be interesting in 2005, but now I'd say it borders on repetative and mind numbingly dull.
