November 10, 201410 yr Dollar Signs has to happen. It has really grown on me but Tinashe is incapable of putting her name to a bad track right now I think. She turns everything into gold I swear.
December 4, 201410 yr Author New re-worked version of "Overdrive" called "Overdrive (Part 2)" will be out on December 22 through Beatport. Edited December 22, 201410 yr by Juan Carlos
December 22, 201410 yr Author Is "Pray To God" the next single? It's been playing quite a bit in the US.Apparently, it's the next one in Australia, although there's not a confirmation yet. Regarding the US, the next single will be "Outside" and it already has an impact date on January 13. I assume that they could go with "Pray to God" next or maybe a new one, although I really want it to be a WW single if it's been picked in Australia.
December 26, 201410 yr Motion has certainly under performed so far in comparison to 18 months. Its only sold 130k up to last week. I wonder if there will be a reissue next year. It might struggle to reach platinum status.
December 26, 201410 yr Good. Maybe he won't just regurgitate the same recycled thing next time around.
December 28, 201410 yr Good. Maybe he won't just regurgitate the same recycled thing next time around. I don't think its the same regurgitated material as you refer. Motion is quite different to 18 months and he has worked with different people this time around apart from Ellie Goulding.
December 28, 201410 yr I don't think its the same regurgitated material as you refer. Motion is quite different to 18 months and he has worked with different people this time around apart from Ellie Goulding. I completely agree. I'd say if anything 18 months is far more generic and uninspired than some of the content on Motion. Tracks like Feels So Close are as autopilot as can possibly get and Let's Go/Drinking From The Bottle/Here 2 China are lazy and just downright poor tbh. Motion is far more expansive in my eyes with tracks like Slow Acid, Love Now, Pray To God etc. which take new directions of sound from him. On Motion he's thrown a few instrumentals with other high-profile producers on it too whereas 18 Months was all literally similar songs, structures, all with guest vocalists. Iron & Awooga were about the only ones even slightly differing. Edited December 28, 201410 yr by Dobbo
February 22, 201510 yr Author Remixes from "Pray to God" and "Outside". The former is a versus between Mike Pickering and Calvin himself, while the latter is from Hardwell. No release info yet from the Mike Pickering vs. Calvin Harris Hacienda remix, but the Hardwell remix will be out this Monday. Also, Oliver Heldens has remixed "Outside", but there isn't any info when it will come out too.
April 5, 201510 yr Does anyone think we might get a reissue of Motion at some point this year? I hope not! I hate it when artists release re-issues!
April 6, 201510 yr Author I also hope there will not be a re-issue of Motion and "Faith" will be released as the final single.
April 6, 201510 yr Why people don't like re-releases is beyond me. They give you extra tracks and help bridge the gap till the next album, so why not?
April 6, 201510 yr Why people don't like re-releases is beyond me. They give you extra tracks and help bridge the gap till the next album, so why not? Because the fans have already bought the album! Nobody wants to spend another £10 just for an extra handful of tracks!
April 10, 201510 yr Whilst I am generally not a fan of reissues, I'm hoping we do get a reissue of motion as its his best album so far for me and I'm excited to see if there are any additional tracks/material available.
April 10, 201510 yr Because the fans have already bought the album! Nobody wants to spend another £10 just for an extra handful of tracks! So don't. Buy them separately (assuming they're not album-only), stream them, youtube them, pirate them. It doesn't matter, you've already bought the album anyway.
