What does everyone think Shabnams secret is? There has been some hints to it being Bulimia.

That would be a good storyline, especially to have the Muslim view presented and it's not something that I recall being portrayed in a soap before (there was Hannah's anorexia in Hollyoaks but of course it's important to remember it's not the same as bulimia). Come to think of it, I remember Shabnam talking about negatively about some of the food products that were being stocked in the Minute Mart, so that's a bit of an indication.

She also mentioned stuffing herself with chocolate a few times. I really think the actress could pull this off.
How's that an indication?

If she's complaining about what types of foods are stocked, I'd say it was.

 

And agreed that Rakhee (Shabnam) will do well in this storyline if it is the case, I've often thought throughout the year that she's a capable actress.

Don't the people of ALbert Square ever go to somewhere cheaper, say, Tesco's, than a small, expensive minimart with a bad selection? :lol:

Strange how none of them have ever taken to online grocery shopping though, an Ocado delivery van popping up every now and then might add to the realism.

Could be seen as product placement though ...

 

So when Janine had no money (ridiculous) as they don't like women having money on the show, which usually only the men have, she would go do her shopping in an expensive minimart designed for small purchases, etc, throwing money away instead of getting on the nearest tube to Teso's or Lidl? :lol:

But I thought she flopped in Hollywood? :lol:

She did, I guess she doesn't want to resort to crawling back to the show when she's said so frequently that she wasn't coming back :lol:

Linda is officially the best actor in Eastenders right now!! Her performance tonight was magnificent, even the scenes where she was trying to keep Dean thinking positively. Really just hung onto every word she said, and you could feel the pain and the sickness she felt after Dean attacked her.
One of the best episodes tonight, Linda's performance was well executed, I really felt for her. The only disappointing thing was seeing Deano's face at the start it was so punchable :lol:
Tonight's episode was intense and chilling. Kellie Bright did an amazing job portraying the emotion in both the living room and iamspamspamamiscenes. I can tell a good episode from if it makes you feel emotional/upset, and it did!
Big ratings toneet then!

 

Why did he rape her? Seems out of character.

From what I've read, I think he wanted to prove that he wasn't like one of her kids and didn't need to be mothered by her.
