I wonder ate people over estimating 1D?SMG seems to be doing bad nearly everywhere and if it were to go number 1 here,it would be one of the only countries..fans don't even seem to be feeling this track and the song isn't that high on pre orders?

I fully expect 1D to peak at number 2. You can quote me on that!

I can't see 1D getting #1 either, unless sales drop fairly low

and considering 'All About That Bass' is being performed on XF tomorrow it may well get a decent sales spike again

There definitely seems to be far less hype around them than there was last era and this song has underperformed in the USA (got to #1 with a big lead to start with admittedly, but it dropped very quickly and only debuted at #13 on the Hot 100, a pretty massive dropoff from the #2 debut of 'Best Song Ever') in addition to not doing spectacularly on pre-orders here. Honestly wouldn't be that surprised if it's not even top 2.

That Eminem/Sia track is out on Monday according to the new releases thread, won't just be Meghan who is a thorn in 1d's side next week

Eminem will be low top 10 at best, any hype this song had is long gone now.

yeah I expected the 1D song to gain hype before release but it doesn't seem to be happening. Another week at #1 for Meghan then. I think she'll get 5 in total as there doesn't seem to be another #1 contender until Cheryl releases.

Will be interesting to see how Eminem does... I think i could be a top ten mon/tues and fade off during the week. It'll still get a top 40 chart though. Could do a Survival or a Rap God with a lower peak.

The 1D track has its video out on Sunday - featuring Danny DeVito. Should gain it some much needed hype and publicity (however I'm still not a big fan of the track - like I said before the song they gave away for free was better).

 

EDIT: Probably worth noting the speculation that the song has been blacklisted from several big radio stations in the US due to their team refusing interviews during the tour. One of them tweeted a dig at Capital as well yesterday (didn't they fall out over them thanking Radio 1 instead of them at the BRITs a couple of years ago?)

Yeah Harry said 'A big thanks to Radio One' when the award was voted by Capital Listeners, don't think they've been played ever since! & that was in 2012 I think! It's a shame really because they didn't do it on purpose, & apologized after but Capital haven't forgiven.
