September 10, 200620 yr Ah, here comes Radio 1's only weekly play of Shakira - I got bored of this song in July. :(
September 10, 200620 yr Well the only reason it has lasted so long is because people only started to hear it when they went on holiday, great for it to be at 5.
September 10, 200620 yr Well the only reason it has lasted so long is because people only started to hear it when they went on holiday, great for it to be at 5. Or being plugged constantly on every music channel since it's week of release.
September 10, 200620 yr Author Just think if Radio 1 & Radio 2 had playlisted this Shakira track, then the record buying UK public might have got sick of it earlier & it would not be in the Top20!
September 10, 200620 yr 4 (from 30) Robbie Williams - Rubebox http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/CDCHSS5161.JPG Robbie Williams - RUDEBOX 'Rudebox' is the first single to be taken from Robbie Williams' brand new studio album '1974', the follow-up to last year's 'Intensive Care' album. Based on a sample from the classic Sly & Robbie track 'Boops (Here To Go)', 'Rudebox', as Robbie says, is "loads of different things, sometimes it could be a vibe delivered in a spaceship direct to the studio, sometimes it's a really nasty girl dancing scantily clad, or sometimes it's a giant Soundsystem… Sometimes it's actually just a box that tells you to **** off! too". Cryptic as it is experimental, 'Rudebox' is the sound of Robbie taking a bold new musical direction. - HMV UK Release date: 4-9-2006 (can Chart week prior in UK on downloads) track listing - CDS(CD1) from HMV 1. September 10, 200620 yr Just think if Radio 1 & Radio 2 had playlisted this Shakira track, then the record buying UK public might have got sick of it earlier & it would not be in the Top20! I do think that's true. Radio1 ot playing it has allowed it to stick around and perhaps even sell more copies.
September 10, 200620 yr Author At least Robbie is trying something different with this single as his material & singles from his Intensive Care album sounded tired, laboured & uninspiring IMHO.
September 10, 200620 yr The more I hear this song the more I like it :D Yea, when you get into it's
September 10, 200620 yr Or being plugged constantly on every music channel since it's week of release. It didn't get much rotation at the start :o

September 10, 200620 yr 3 (from 15) Nelly Furtado - Promiscuous http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1706030.JPG Nelly Furtado is well and truly back in business! Having already unleashed 'Maneater', the biggest hit of the summer so far, spending 4 weeks at Number 1, Nelly now unveils 'Promiscuous', the latest single to be taken from her phenomenal new album, 'Loose'. Already released in the US, where it took the Number 1 slot on the Billboard charts, 'Promiscuous' now arrives in the UK, featuring a call-and-response collaboration with rap producer Timbaland, over some of the slick and off-centre beats that made 'Maneater' such an instant pop classic. - HMV Nelly Furtado - Promiscuous UK Release date: 4-9-2006 track listing 1.
