December 27, 20177 yr I thought it could be that the Sats don’t get much ‘casual’ streams anymore minus perhaps WAU, Higher and maybe Up as they haven’t been active for a while so songs not necessarily known much by the public can get high up (that explains White Lies) but 808 isn’t particularly popular amongst the fan base iirc, certainly not that it would be their third most streamed track! It doesn’t seem to be on a popular playlist either. Don’t Let Me Dance Alone is even more baffling :drama: The not many casual listeners argument seems less likely when you consider the Saturdays monthly listeners are quite high for how many hits they have well remembered by the GP, as much as I love them.
December 27, 20177 yr 808 the single that never was. Among many others, but particularly this. Obviously it should have been released instead of WAYWF, but even if it was released after it, it still would have smashed, I'm sure of it.

January 7, 20187 yr Not Giving Up has less plays than 'White Lies' and 'Greatest Hit Megamix' with 463,477 :( Remember that Spotify separates the plays of the Radio Edit and the album version though (2.781.510) Also, Una's Craving You has hit 200.000 plays! The power of playlists. Edited January 7, 20187 yr by DoggySwami
January 7, 20187 yr Not Giving Up has less plays than 'White Lies' and 'Greatest Hit Megamix' with 463,477 :( Homophobic !!!
January 9, 20187 yr My Heart Takes Over has gained 10,000 plays a day in the last three days and is now their fifth most popular song on Spotify *.*
January 9, 20187 yr My Heart Takes Over has gained 10,000 plays a day in the last three days and is now their fifth most popular song on Spotify *.* MHTO being their 4th highest single now is beyond curious! Isn't it their 4th worst selling single? So topsy-turvy. It really doesn't feel right that it's edged ahead of Ego. Let's have a reminder of their UK chart runs x Ego (#09, 41 weeks) [1st Entry: 29/11/2009] 96-52-35-30-20-17-09-14-11-13-19-24-26-34-43-45-49-48-43-36-46-57-61-68-70-95-134-130-169-178-200-195-190-Out [2nd Entry: 08/08/2010] 195-138-89-102-97-135-149-194-Out My Heart Takes Over (#15, 04 weeks) [Entry: 20/11/2011] 15-28-46-130-Out
January 9, 20187 yr It'll be on a playlist in a country somewhere. You can see where they get their streams from on the 'about' bit on their Spotify artist page and their only songs on playlists with more than 5,000 followers are Higher and What About Us! MHTO is on 'Cheesy Hits' which has just under 4,000 followers but almost all of their hits are on that playlists.
January 9, 20187 yr Daily stream average for their top 10 lately: What About Us - 18,083 Higher - 16,137 808 - 8,051 Disco Love - 7,845 Ego - 5,991 Issues - 5,034 My Heart Takes Over - 4,286 GH Megamix - 3,607 Just Can't Get Enough - 2,878 White Lies - 2,789 MHTO gaining over 10k streams a day for the last few days seems really weird if it's daily average in the last six days is less than 5k...The Sats streaming fanbase never fails to confuse me! Edited January 9, 20187 yr by Andrew.
January 9, 20187 yr Not them retroactively saving the On Your Radar campaign by making My Heart Takes Over a hit.
January 9, 20187 yr I'm pleasantly surprised at those numbers, but they do have many bangers. MHTO to go Silver in 2056!! :cheer:
January 10, 20187 yr WHERE THE f*** IS 808 GETTING THESE STREAMS FROM? I know right, there can't be that many delusional crazy Sats fans, sneaking it into playlists at parties (like I did) STILL! Hopefully though with these strong streams we will see some more certs soon. I'm thinking maybe the girls had a bigger impact on the states than we think. Also being related artists to Little Mix and many other artists could be helping them a lot. Edited January 10, 20187 yr by Juliano
January 11, 20187 yr Author At this rate My Heart Takes Over will go Silver before Forever Is Over :kink:
January 12, 20187 yr 01. What About Us (20,180,966) 02. Higher (12,919,746) 03. 808 (2,125,106) 04. Disco Love (5,979,885) 05. Ego (5,278,379) 06. My Heart Takes Over (1,339,053) 07. Issues (4,020,852) 08. Greatest Hits Megamix (603,901) 09. White Lies (931,320) 10. Just Can't Get Enough (2,700,528) What Are You Waiting For (1,181,700) Not Giving Up has less plays than 'White Lies' and 'Greatest Hit Megamix' with 463,477 :( 01. What About Us - 20,346,737 (+165,771) 02. Higher - 13,065,329 (+145,583) 03. 808 - 2,196,620 (+71,514) 04. Disco Love 6,053,407 (+73,522) 05. My Heart Takes Over 1,379,107 (+40,054) 08. Greatest Hits Megamix 637,039 (+33,138) 09. White Lies 957,073 (+25,753) So in just over a week 'What About Us' has managed to gather 165,000 streams and '808' is managing 70,000 which is actually pretty impressive considering the only advertisement that it's being provided is being third in their most popular songs on Spotify. Serious question (Joe/Joseph) has '808' outsold 'What Are You Waiting For?) considering it's been streamed over 1 million more times (that's actually ridiculous)
