I seriously adore the Kardinal Offishall remix now - better than the original?! Perhaps not but after playing the original so much this is a gloriously refreshing change. The beat is just...immense. Crazyhot. I quite want to sex it.

One question. Is the Colby O Donis miles slower than the non Colby O Donis version cause everytime I see the video, JD seems as slow as a Gabriella song but the version on my local radio station is miles faster (non Colby version). The slow version is completely gross and I hate the JD video gosh Poker Face is leaps better if you compare it to Colby and that video. .

Just to clear up, the US are getting Beautiful Dirty Rich.

 

Canada and other selected countries, presumably most of Europe including the UK, are getting this.

 

Personally despite this being my favourite on the album, I'd go with Boys Boys Boys for second because this is just TOO similar to Just Dance to follow it up straight away...

Oh come on, the instrumental is very similar...the verses share the exact same melody! It's an almost blatant steal, although it technically isn't because a producer can't steal from themselves. Still, it's uninspired as a second single choice...

ridiculous choice...it's the same song again with different lyrics...what a lazy follow up :(

 

this happened a lot in the 1990's, Eiffel 65 and ATB spring to mind who released practically identical follow up's to their debut's

 

and the Max Martin production team of the late 90's were responsible for a LOT of soundalike singles in the 1997-2000 era...a lot of Britney, Backstreet Boys, Robyn and 'N Sync songs from that era sounded practically the same musically

a copycat follow up is never a great choice for any singer...artists should show their diversity by showing off tracks that sound different to each other

I've grown to absolutely love this song recently

 

I never hated it as such, just wasn't impressed that such a similar sounding song was being released as an immediate follow up to Just Dance

 

after a few more listens though, other than the sound effects, it's not all that similar, and has a better melody

I'd hardly say it's an identical copy. Different structure, emotion, tone, feel etc.

 

The Canadian lot didn't seem to notice either. 'Poker Face' went top 20 on their iTunes chart when the album was released...

Brilliant video, very stylish and classy. I envisaged her dancing on a casino table and throwing chips at guys drooling at her... but I guess she's half got that in one scene. :P

The best song on the album easily. I think it should be the third single atleast...I think 'Boys Boys Boys' would be the best song to release in the US.

wow video is just oooomph, the oppening sequence is iconic.

Not a fan of this as much as Just Dance sounds abit messed up :D

This is my favorite song on the album along with Love Games, me and my friends blast this everytime we are in the car.

Just Dance is trash and this everything but. It's so much more varied and original than the repetitively dull JD.

The best single choice made! :wub: 'Paparazzi' has always been my favourite from the album, and I just thank God it's not 'Love Game'!

I wanted 'LoveGame' more, but I guess 'Paparazzi' is less similar to the first two singles. I have to admit it's grown on me immensely, the chorus is just irresistable.

Lately I tend to skip Eh Eh, Beautiful Dirty Rich, Summer Boy, Brown Eyes and Disco Heaven so the rest make up my "eleven".. Paparazzi my favourite from start til now so it as 3rd single is like a dream-come-true for me although I was kinda hoping for 'I Like It Rough' ..

 

'Paparazzi' WILL be major, and is by miles a better choice than LG. And Starstruck or I Like It Rough should be the 4th single, so its more varied in sound..

I'm pretty sure Paparazzi is going to explode. It'll be like Fergie in Amerie, 5 top 5 singles. The album's barely done Gold there so there's plenty of scope for it to be a smash, and I think it'll be a top 3 here too. It's more of the same isn't it? And the public seem to love it, so...

I really like what I can see of the video. It's a little basic for the most part but it works well, she looks good and it's raunchy like the song.

It's a rubbish single choice TBF though. Good song, but there is far better on the album. 'Paparazzi' being the MAIN song, SCREAMING for release! Why are they ignoring it :drama:

The video was banned on TV channels there if I recall correctly, followed by the song being snubbed by many UK radio stations too hence it abysmally peaking at #19 in the UK as its her single that's received the worst airplay (excluding buzz single 'G.U.Y' obv :kink: )

Gaga paid for the video herself, it had a low budget remix bundle and I think the only radio station that got behind it was Radio 4, it was the era's 'Beautiful Dirty Rich' tbh :kink:

I know 'LoveGame's peak looks shoddy but I don't think it did that badly, it sold over 200k which is respectable enough for a 4th single and it's not as if it halted her progress at that time.

It's AMAZING. The lyrics are genius, and so monstrous LOL. The Poker Face hook cleverly used and its just electronic bliss overall, overplaying it to death now. :o I'm just not so keen on her voice, it sounds a bit demo-ish so the final version is probably going maximize all the immense potential this has. It's also WAY too long but that'll all be fixed, looking forward to the final version and premiere tomorrow, ah! :D

I like this 1000 times more than '3' and I've always liked Britney more than GaGa...

Absolutely love it, I agree it'll probably sound better in HQ or whatever though as some parts are hard to make out, but yeah should easily be another huge hit for her, maybe even #01!
