On the contrary for me, I couldn't understand the mass hysteria at first but it's majorly grown on me. It's irresistible.

I really hoped Speechless or Monster :(

I'm not a big fan of "Speechless", so I hope that doesn't become a single over something really good like "Monster", or something utterly amazing, like "Dance In The Dark"

"Dance In The Dark" would be a sensible choice, but "Alejandro" is just as amazing.

Tbh with people, I think "Telephone" is actually a weaker song. Just picked because Beyonce is on it.

I think Alejandro will go amazingly in the UK! I'm really glad to hear it is the 3rd single as it could be a huge summer anthem. If she has a 4th single, I think Monster or Dance In The Dark will both be equally good decisions.

Alejandro would do alot better in the US then DITD. Alejandro is a Summer anthem while DITD is not, it's good but I can't see it doing as well in the US market as Alejandro.

Alejandro should have been second imo ^_^

I think she should only have one of these 'epic' videos each album/era. It'd make it more exciting I think.

I'm a bit annoyed like Alejandro's the next single when Monster is screaming for a release.

Tbh, all songs on TFM could be a single. So glad Alejandro will be a single, it's my favourite on the album. :D

IMO she should've finished off this era with Telephone. Then take some rest.

For a third single, I'd rather have Monster than Alejandro.

I can only imagine myself and myself only rating in that, as y'all know I tend to talk to myself in here from time to time http://i.imgur.com/3QLjK1D.gif
get hotchoc26 to host one of their lyrical games sorry challenges :o
Isn't it like a LIFE-LONG DREAM of a GaGa loon like yourself to introduce GaGa to someone who doesn't know about GaGa? :o It's an uncharted territory, innocent mind. Corrupt it with Alejandros and Do What U Wants and 24-inch heels <3
Don't bring hotchoc26 into here! :drama:

'ALEJANDRO'

(when the music video premiered)

It's all a bit random really. Like all GaGa's dramatic videos it's all a bit confusing for me!

I'm sure there is a storyline in there somewhere!

The last second is particularly wtf?!

I was kind of a bit disappointed. I wish they'd kept stopping and starting the song a la "Telephone", or added more story, a la "Paparazzi", but this music video just extends the song too much, and I don't really get it.

like everyone else i don't really get it but still it's immense!

:o Ohhh, it's quite creepy!

Very good though, she looks great. Epescially the beginning part with the goggle things. :)

Hope this will pushes the song to the top. :w00t:

its interesting to say this least...im not sure how that pays homage to the gay community or what it has to do with the song but its good i guess...i wasnt expecting it to be set in winter...i was hoping palm trees and beaches  oh well.

I really like it, but nowhere in the league of Telephone, it dragged a bit at the end aswel tbh..

Rather disappointed. :( I think this was eventually going to happen with GaGa though, like Ryan said should've been a 4 minute video and then it would've been fine. Don't really get it at all.

Hmm...not a massive fan either to be honest and agree with the general sentiment here.

In one part of the video where it's black and white and she's dancing with her much shorter blonde hair than usual, I can't help but be reminded of a similar scene in the video to The Sign by Ace of Base. The song's not exactly a million miles away from it either :kink:

This vid also reminds me of Ace of Base's Happy Nation video too

Awful video. Hate it hate it hate it. Completely agree with Ryan, she's gone way too far with these 8 minute "epics". -_-

Awful video. Truly awful. Except, of course, the dancing routine which was as always stunning and unique. Especially in the 4-5 minute region, which is by FAR the best part of the whole thing.

It's not THAT bad LOL. It's just because it's GaGa I think most of you think it's ''awful'', it's not her best video but I'd still say it's a good video and better than the majority of generic music videos out there atm.

Not the most commercial of videos. I love the concept and the cinematography but it's all VERY esoteric and does run the risk of coming off as being self-indulgent. I do quite enjoy it, but it's very easy to see how this could be seen as a slap in the face after the commercial high-concept of Bad Romance and Telephone...

Well it's... err... interesting and should get people talking. I think Gaga left the point of the video a bit unclear so it was up to our own interpretations and views. She continues to push the boundaries in pop, I'm impressed with her.

I love the video. The only thing I didn't like about it, was the length. It didn't really need to be that long.

Great dancing and AWESOME cinematography.

The sac-religious $h!t was a bit much though, and the dudes in heels... not my thing.

Vid is quite good, but BR and Telephone's vids are much better. Alejandro is my 2nd fave song of hers behind BR

Never understood why that video got such a bad reaction :(

I think the song deserved a BRIGHTER video but what we got was still epic. So Madonna it hurts, but she pulled it off well so i can't complain.

'BORN THIS WAY'

Can't say I'm loving this right now... just seems a bit tacky, compared to how amazing Just Dance/Pokerface/Bad Romance were.

Nothing special, very unoriginal..

Express Yourself trending on Twitter

I actually really like it on first listen, but then I really like Express Yourself too, and this is a (barely) updated version of that.

I dont like it :( Just dont think its on par with all of her previous singles...

Maybe it was just hyped up WAY WAY WAY too much

It's good. It's also better than Hold It Against Me. But frankly, given it's been exposed to some of the biggest hype ever, short of her putting out Bad Romance again (and everyone ripping her to pieces for 'just doing a sequel to Bad Romance'), I think loads of people would've been disappointed anyway.

I far prefer Gaga to Britney in general, but I've got to disagree with it being better than Hold It Against Me...

I feel slightly sorry for her - how can anyone be expected to keep on improving on what is already perfection? This will still be a huge worldwide #1, just because she's that big, and radio will absolutely love it but it's certainly a huge step backwards musically and lyrically from pretty much everything on The Fame Monster. Whereas that was 80's influenced, this literally IS 80's. I do really like the song but it's a victim of its own hype.

So THIS is the anthem for our generation? LOL imma stick with "Beautiful" or "f***in' Perfect" thanks Flopga.

Wow this really is Express Yourself.

I'm rather enjoying it regardless. The post-chorus is glorious. And it is rather catchy/funky.

As a feel good anthem i'll stick to Ugly thanks.

My frigging MUM heard this before me :drama:

Well, I sure don't love it like I loved On The Floor when I heard it but it is still pretty damn good.

Someone got an mp3? :kink:

Not a fan of this at all. I'm sure it'll still be huge regardless...and I'm expecting the second single to be better!

One thing i noticed is that the lyrics have alot more meaning and sound alot less iffy

Not her best song but still a fab tune, I like it alot.

This is horribile... worst gaga single to be released

SHE way overhyped this.

I actually really like it, I was kind of dreading it'd be awful but it's different to what she's done before, and I really appreciate that.

I'd say I prefer all her other singles to it at this stage (bar 'Telephone' of course), but I'm pleased with it. Catchy!

Let me start off by saying to compare this to Britney's HIAM is completely stupid they are two completely different songs. It really annoys the $h!t out of me how people CONSTANTLY try to compare the two. They really both have different and distinct styles... So let us not start. Anyways, on first listen I really like it!

    This was worth the wait, slugging it out in school! It's just amazing (as Kay said, it's not the word!) Of course it's no Pokerface or Bad Romance, but it's still the best song I've heard in 2011 so far!

Ftr:

Momma Monster >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Britney

BTW >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> HIAM

(sorry Tyler, I love Brit as well :P)

HIAM is boring to me now, but I know this will never cease! PUT YOUR PAWS UP!

Btw, welcome back Kay :D

I found it amazing as soon as the chorus kicked in. Just so catchy, I never expected the tempo to be like that, and much better than I was expecting after hearing the lyrics.

Am I seeing things. Kay is posting again :w00t:

Average crap.

'Paparazzi' is my favourite single too  (Although I'm constantly changing between that and 'Dance In The Dark' as my ultimate GaGa track )

'Born This Way' is really, really disappointing. It's so unoriginal for GaGa to do something like this :( Although I can see maybe why she did this, and it's probably so people were comparing her future singles/songs from her album (which I'm expecting to be better) to this as opposed to 'Poker Face' or 'Bad Romance'. Although it didn't really help her cause by her herself saying this will be "an anthem of our generation" or whatever, when it's so lacklustre compared to previous GaGa songs. I'm hoping it grows with a HQ version (I've been youtubing and they sound a bit MQ...) and after the initial disappointment. (Similar to people's reactions to Rihanna's 'Russian Roulette' - people were disappointed at first that she came back with something so dark and was a ballad, but after that they seemed to love it and it's up there with her best amongst fans now I think)

But yeah. First impressions = not good. :( It really is 'Express Yourself' part 2. (And I'm not really a fan of that either!)

it is a blatent copy - but i still really like this, such good fun!

Oh my god. This is a joke, surely?! Really so tacky, the production is okay I suppose and it's catchy but really I think it's the weakest of her singlesa so far. :( I understand she enjoys Madonna alot and all that jazz, but she didn't have to make such a blatant rip off. I dunno, I just think she's capable of so much better. I kinda knew it was going to be $h!t as soon as I laid my eyes on those frankly terrible lyrics.

Oh and 'Hold It Against Me' is in a whole other league as far as I'm concerned.

This is song is bloody dreadful; obnoxious to the extremes! It's the worst song of the year and that takes some doing.

I like it, its fun, not her best, but its catchy, i think some people are over-exaggerating by calling it the worst song they've heard this year, there has been way worse songs, not to mention she's been "un-original" before, Alejandro, although my favorite song of hers, is a clone of Ace of Base's don't turn around and she's channeled Madonna before in Dance In The Dark with the whole celebrity naming rap thing, and Telephone could have been sung by anyone, I ignored all the hype for this anyway, so i'm enjoying it.

She was getting dragged! :o

Still hate the 'Alejandro' video immensely, even though I didn't appear to comment on it at the time.

'Born This Way' the song I can still enjoy, but it's fair to say that song lost her a huge amount of credibility.

Still stand by my comments about both of these~
Omg I remember playing it on repeat for like three hours <3
