The Veronicas have revealed that they are back in the studio and have teamed up with American singer-songwriter Suzi Quatro for their third studio album.

The Untouched duo, made up of twin sisters Jess and Lisa Origliasso, confirmed that they have started work on the follow-up to Hook Me Up.

"We've been experimenting with a lot of different sounds for this next record," Jess told the Daily Star.

"We've also been doing some writing collaborations with the amazing Suzi Quatro."

Quatro rose to fame in 1973 with 'Can The Can' and has since released 15 studio albums.

The Veronicas previously revealed that they are eager to work with Marilyn Manson in the future.

They tweeted back in October they had began the process of creating their third album. It is due to be released sometime this Year.

At Christmas they performed a Song via their YouTube which is rumored to be on the Album...

They've also started performing a song called 'Victim' on their Tour, also set for record.

"We've been experimenting with a lot of different sounds for this next record – citing influences from The Subways, The Dead Weather, Mazzy Star, Ladytron and Peaches.

Jess added: "We've also been doing some writing collaborations as well with Erinn and Matt from Streamer Bendy, and also the amazing Suzi Quatro."

Only heard of Peaches but I'm sure they'll pull off some great tracks after collaborating and researching for the Album.

Hopefully it'll be released sooner rather than later this Year... they seem keen to get it out though :D.

Ladytron  Expect an electro influence. Sounds good to me... And Suzi Quatro is an absolute legend, the Diana Vickers of the 70s :kink:

I was hoping most of it would be recorded by now :P.

Ah well, at least it won't be a rushed job.

I hope all countries will be getting it in unison this time, whenever it may arrive.

It was a heck of an album but it was one mess of a release.

Lies lol. They've been writing since before Xmas.

They were but they had only done 5 or 6 songs before Xmas <_<

Yup!

It'll no doubt be Australia then US then UK though so they can promote in each place.

Their first album was fantastic! I loved the evolution in sound with 'Hook Me Up' but it wasn't as consistant as their debut despite some pretty damkn impressive tracks. Im really looking forward to hearing what they come up with this time round.

SET IT OFF

HEART LIKE A BOAT

WOAH OH

No sign of any release dates yet though! I need this.

 They have the worst fashion sense ever look uber-skanky. Billy Corgan ought to help them out ala courtney love.Prob only reason she is seeing him.
