I REALLY should listen to these tracks. Will probably do tonight unless I get distracted by the John Lewis ad again.

7 votes in, 4 and a half days to go, and hardly anyone now on no points. One song though could down in UP history shockingly as the most unpopular track ever it's so unloved. I always say an achievement is an achievement either way, so hopefully no points or lots of surprise last-minute points, one or the other :lol:

Voted... love my top 3, it was a struggle to order them, the high points kept on changing from time to time. Found a couple of discoveries to add to my personal chart at some point.

I tried to vote last night but ranking these has been VERY hard. Thankfully it's due to a lot of very good songs, rather than a lot of mediocre ones! Very enjoyable listening this time around, will try again to sort votes out tonight!

I submitted my votes earlier (was going to last night but BuzzJack decided to stop working when I went to send them). I have a very clear favourite here and 5 other very good songs. Only 4 or 5 songs I wasn't too keen on.

Extensions, I won't be too fussed about being a few hours late, as I won't be doing the paperwork till Wed afternoon (I have a few hours to get it all done, hopefully to go live at 7pm wed so's it doesn't get crowded out by the buzzjack final. Or later if I'm sloppy and slow... :arrr:

Quite weird that Radio Dept. chose Czech out of all languages for their song oops. The phrase is so super close to Russian I could understand what was being said there too haha.

i say in line with UP tradition the deadline should be pushed back a few days for everyone to still send their results in at last minute

 

as many havent voted yet i assume they haven't listened very much and we don't want rushed votes skewing things :o

if it's looking like a big no-show of voters I can push it back to friday but any later and it's going to be swamped by the buzzjack final rush of voters - I haven't even started on that myself so I'm aware they shouldn't be competing for attention over the weekend. :blink:

I don't think there should be an extension tbh. If there is one I will just wait a couple of more days to properly start listening. Everyone will get to this last minute either way and moving deadlines will only confuse things. Better keep the deadline Tuesday as it was and if there are like more than x non-voters, move it to Friday or something. But only IF there's a certain amount of non-voters because there won't really be incentive to vote if you know deadline will be moved haha

Yeah I'd agree with that - I'm inclined to leave it as it is as I can cope with a sudden inrush of votes (wednesday I'm at home), a last minute rush of votes later in the week will delay it further as I'm at work till saturday and everyone will be watching X Factor sat night.

i don't see what the big deal is in moving it? it's not like bjsc where you have red tape and order surrounding the timings of everything. it will do no harm extending the deadline and the competition will be better for it.

 

i haven't listened at all yet and 3 days is better than a few hours. also, the deadline has been moved back on more occasions than not in the past and people seemed to cope okay...

I dont vote until I've listened a few times to everything. I only discovered how great Malachite is this morning.
