#16 Spinning Around // Light Years // Avg: 8.375 (11: Acidburn, MIKERMYERS, MichaelCarty), (10: Slowdown75, Ultraviolence1989, Kellyann, Simon, Jester, bartsimpson, Jay), (-1: fgi090905)

At #16 is Kylie's ultimate comeback single "Spinning Around", released in June 2000 as the lead single from her 7th album "Light Years". After being dropped from DeConstruction, after low sales of her previous album and singles, this put her back on the map, although the song was originally meant for Paula Abdul's comeback album, but never surfaced and instead given to Kylie, and lyrically talks of reinvention, which also suited her. After signing to new label Parlophone, it was decided that she'd return to pop music, but mixing in styles of disco and europop, and as it turned out, it worked, along with the iconic music video where she wears those gold hot pants, caused a media sensation and therefore put her on the a-list. "SA" became Kylie's 5th UK #1 in it's first week, her first in 10 years since "TOMP", as well as topping the charts in Australia and hit top 5 peaks in New Zealand and Ireland, then top 40 peaks in France, Netherlands, Swiss and Belgium. This era also brought Kylie to a whole new level of success and the 00's would therefore become her most successful decade of her career.

I'm a golden girl, I'm an Aphrodite alright

#04 Aphrodite // 2010 // Avg: 8.314(11: fgi090905, gooddelta, Red Blooded Man) (10: Acidburn, Ultraviolence1989, Regina, OceanBlue, Jay) (4:مدهش* )

At #4 in our Kylie albums rate is "Aphrodite" which was her 11th studio album, released in June 2010 and hailed as a comeback for her and is a celebration of Kylie's dance floor roots. The title alludes to the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure and procreation. Kylie worked with a number of producers for this album, namely Stuart Price a British Electronic music producer who came on board at the last minute and as the final result became something spectacular. The sounds of this album include dance pop, disco, electro pop, hi NRG, club and rave music, which all run into a cohersive smooth sound. This also marked Kylie herself being the first ever female artist to have #1 albums in four decades, the 80's, 90's, 00's and 10's. Becoming her 5th UK #1 album.

An instant classic
, a thumping dance beat that explodes once the chorus kicks in, with Kylie's vocals sounding their best. Get Outta My Way speeds things up, very fast dance pop at it's finest, with such a catchy chorus.
takes a more darker and atmospheric route, but still dance pop at it's finest, there are ballads on this album but Everything Is Beautiful comes close, so melodic and produced by Tim Rice Oakley from Keane. The title track Aphrodite becomes an instant standout with it's powerful vocals and a very severe beat to it, very thumping.
which was produced by Calvin Harris and Jake Shears, and was one of the first tracks recorded for the album, and has that classic 90's NRG house club feel to it. It even keeps you interested until the end with another highlight
, which is another Stuart Price production, smooth dance with a mild 80's feel to it. Even the bonus track Heartstrings is very laid back and smooth chilled out sound. I can see why this album was very popular on this rate, such a fantastic collection of gems on one record.

#15 What Do I Have To Do // Rhythm Of Love // Avg: 8.5 (11: fgi090905, Mango, gooddelta), (10: Acidburn, Slowdown75, Gezza, Stuart25, Kellyann, Mr Aly, Red Blooded Man), (5: Nick F1)

At #15 is another pop gem and classic in Kylie's back catalogue, "What Do I Have To Do", released in January 1991, as the 3rd single from her 3rd album "Rhythm Of Love" . While originally planned to the 2nd single, it was however pushed back in favour of "SBIT" and showed Kylie taking her image and sound further into more sexier and danceir sound and Kylie has said herself that this is her favourite to perform live. In the UK the song reached #6 becoming her 12th top 10 hit and also hit top 10 in Ireland and Finland. In other countries it managed a top 20 peak in Australia and smaller dents in France, Germany and Netherlands.

Hand on your heart is slightly overrated... I think it only deserves Top 40.

Spinning Around is very enjoyable and quite durable with me personally, the perfect opening for LY album.

#14 In Your Eyes // Fever // Avg; 8.5 (11: Nick F1, Davidson, Mr Aly,:مدهش* ), (10: Acidburn, bartsimpson, MichaelCarty, Red Blooded Man, Jay Kyliefan '14), (3: fgi090905)

At #14 is the fantastic "In Your Eyes", released in January 2002 as the 2nd single from her 8th album "Fever". Following on from the massive success of "CGYOOMH" which became her signature tune. The song itself mixes in styles of dance-pop and disco and it's music video won Best Dance Award at the MTV Music Video Awards. The song proved very popular on this rate with 4 11's and 6 10's and scored the same average as "WDIHTD", but this managed more 11's. The b-side to this track
, which was recorded during the Fever sessions, proved very popular and was even included on the special edition re-release of the album. Worldwide the song became another success by topping the charts in Australia and Romania and hit #3 in the UK, as well as top 10 in Hungary, Greece, Ireland, Finland, Italy, Spain, Swiss and Denmark. Then top 20 in Belgium, Canada, Netherlands, Germany, New Zealand and Sweden. Surprisingly the song wasn't given a USA release, despite "CGYOOMH" being massive there, instead they skipped to "Love At First Sight" as the 2nd single over there.

I'm more surprised that X is in the top 3 albums. Its one of her worst albums for me but does include some good tracks but could have been so much better.
I'm surprised X will be top 5. A very mediocre album for me and not much better than kiss me once. Good to see Aphrodite in the top 5 albums though!!

Definitely some of her strongest singles left with the exception of get outta my way, your disco and in my arms. Don't understand X being in top 4 albums though. Its not her best at all. Half the tracks are great but the other half is a different story.

So, do you not like X then? I'm confused.

Absolutely gutted 'In Your Eyes' is only #14 :(. The perfect pop song.

If I had to give my all-time favourite Kylie track I think that would possibly be it.

#13 Get Outta My Way // Aphrodite // Avg: 8.517 (11: fgi090905, gooddelta), (10: Acidburn, Regina, Davidson, Jester, Mr Aly, bartsimpson, MichaelCarty, Jay), (6: Ultraviolence1989, Vibe,هش*)

At #13 is "Get Outta My Way", now this is a shock, never expected this to be so high, I was expecting maybe top 30, but when I did the results, I had to double check, and they speak for themselves, with no rate lower than a 6, and a whopping 8 10's, and 2 11's. Released in September 2010 as the 2nd single from her 11th album "Aphrodite", the track became instantly popular amongst fans upon the album's release. But despite being the perfect follow up single it didn't perform to expectations by managing to only peak at #12 on the UK charts, before sliding down very quickly and limping at #69 in her homeland Australia, becoming her lowest peaking single of her career and first to miss the top 50 in 18 years. In other countries it managed top 20 peaks in Scotland, Spain, Denmark, Brazil and Slovakia, along with top 40 peaks in Swiss, France and Ireland.

I'm also very surprised get outta my way is so high. I would never have put it that high!!
I'm surprised it's that high as it always gets a lot of unfair slagging off. I'm not sure it'd be quite that high for me, but it's still by far and away the best from the Aphrodite era for me.
'Get Outta My Way' really deserves that position. A wonderfully joyous pop song, I actually prefer it to 'All The Lovers' personally. Certainly a highlight from her most recent output and the #12 peak was criminal.

In my mind a celebration, the sweetest of sensation

#12 I Should Be So Lucky // Kylie // Avg: 8.535 (11: Acidburn, Luciano, Kyliefan '14), (10: Ultraviolence1989, Gezza, Kellyann, Mango, Simon, Jester, MIKEMYERS, Bartsimpson, gooddelta), (4: Vibe)

At #12 is the ultimate all time Kylie classic "I Should Be So Lucky", now personally I would have put this in my all time top 5, but finishing at this position isn't bad and the average of 8.535 is very respectable and glad it had so many high scores. Released in December 1987 as her debut worldwide single from her first album "Kylie", which means that this is the final single from that era to feature on this rundown. The song was written in 40 minutes, while Kylie arrived in the UK and waited outside the recording studio. She also recorded this classic in less than 1 hour and brought Kylie to instant worldwide fame and therefore became one of her all time classic signature songs. In the UK it topped the charts for 5 weeks and sold over 670,000 copies and earning a Platinum disc, becoming her 3rd biggest selling single. In other countries it topped the charts in Australia, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Ireland and Swiss, and also top 5/10 peaks in New Zealand, Austria, France, Norway and Belgium. In the USA it managed to become a minor hit by reaching #28 and reaching top 10 on the US Hot Dance charts. This is also the last of the 80's decade singles to feature in this countdown, and glad this came out on top.
