December 15, 201410 yr 'In My Arms' is my second favourite and 'Timebomb' may be top 10 too. 'Into The Blue' has really grown big time in my affections throughout the year too.
December 16, 201410 yr Author I've have had my share of hearts broken http://www.kylie-minogue.cz/files/et_temp/kylie2-9215_630x210.jpg #06 Kylie // 1988 // Avg: 7.891 (10: Acidburn, Gezza, Mango, Jester, Kyliefan '14), (4: ,:مدهش*, Red Blooded Man) At #6 in our albums countdown is her debut simply titled "Kylie" , released in July 1988, produced entirely by Stock Aitken and Waterman and despite mixed reviews it became a huge success with 8 million sold worldwide, including 2.1 million sold in the UK, becoming her biggest selling there to date. The album has themes of teen pop and bubblegum pop, and also dance pop. The album is just a start of what's to come, a long and successful singing career. On this rate the album was in the top 5, but due to the lower rates it scored towards the middle it kind of slipped, but still managed 5 10's. The album kicks off the simple yet effective , a dance pop with elements of bubblegum pop, is incredibly catchy as is which is a little more upbeat and then slowing things down with a pop ballad and the very dramatic with a beautiful melody and slight house Turn It Into Love . Apart from the singles other highlights are where she hits the high notes beautifully, and there are no bad tracks on this album, but there are some that are slightly weaker such as , which echoes of Madonna's Lucky Star, but still upbeat and catchy. December 16, 201410 yr I'm surprised X will be top 5. A very mediocre album for me and not much better than kiss me once. Good to see Aphrodite in the top 5 albums though!! Edited December 16, 201410 yr by slowdown73
December 16, 201410 yr Author When walls are shaking, ground feels like it might break zL2wGYCINwY #22 Wow // X // Avg: 8.035 (10: Acidburn, kellyann, Mango, MIKEMYER, gooddelta), (3: Gezza) #23 Timebomb // Avg: 8.00 (11: Regina, Kyliefan '14), (10: Acidburn, Mango, Simon, MIKEMYERS, Mr Aly, MichealCarty), (0: Liam) As we draw closer and closer to the top 20, we have 2 fantastic numbers here, one from her brilliant album "X" and one stand alone single that has received a lot of love on this rate. First up is "Timebomb", which gained an impressive amount of high scores namely 3 11's and 5 10's and was released in May 2012 3 days before her 44th birthday and as part of her K25 celebrations, which celebrates 25 years of Kylie being in the music business. While oddly enough it wasn't included on her third greatest hits album titled "The Best Of Kylie Minogue" , it was instead included on her K25 Time Capsule boxset. The song received instant acclaim when released from fans and critics but only saw moderate success on the charts, due to only 5,000 cd's pressed of the single worldwide. It reached top 20 peaks in Finland, Australia, Hungary and Spain, along with top 40 peaks in Ireland, UK, Japan, New Zealand, Scotland and Slovakia. In the USA it failed to dent the top 100 but did mange to top the US Hot Dance Club songs chart and made a small dent in Canada at #73. At #22 is , released in February 2008 as the 2nd single from her 10th album "X", making this the 3rd one to drop out in this rate, leaving 2 left. The track was co-written by Kylie herself as well as Greg Kurstin and Karen Poole, also produced by Kurstin. Kylie recorded it in Ibiza and originally either this or "Like A Drug" as the 1st single from the album and instead "2 Hearts" was released. Worldwide the song became a success especially in the UK where it reached #5 and became the album's most successful single, by selling over 180,000 copies, her biggest since 2002's "Love At First Sight", better than it's lead single. In other countries it made top 10 in Ireland and top 20 peaks in Australia, France, Hungary, Slovakia and Denmark. The b-side's were tracks that were left off the album, and namely became very popular with fans, and many felt that it would have sounded great on the album. Edited January 1, 201510 yr by Acidburn
December 16, 201410 yr Wow is overrated in my opinion... the most childish song she's ever done really...
December 16, 201410 yr Author You've should have learned your lessons all in times before 6BNvxPYFsZk #21 Red Blooded Woman // Body Language // Avg: 8.142 (11: Liam, Davidson), (10: Nick F1, Stuart25, Simon, Vibe), (4: Jester) Right now we are almost there to our official Kylie top 20, and just losing out by the skin of it's teeth is the fantastic "Red Blooded Woman". Released in March 2004 as the 2nd single from her 9th album "Body Language" and written by Johnny Douglas and Karen Poole, and it follows the theme of the album with it's hip hop and synthpop sound. While many thought that (including me) was gonna be the second single, but this was chosen instead, and to be honest it did take a while for me to get into it, but now I love it, such a fantastic track and a great choice. Worldwide it became another success by reaching top 5 in Australia and UK, while top 10 in Spain, Ireland, Denmark and Italy, then top 20 in Finland, Greece, Swiss, Germany, New Zealand and Belgium. Right so now then just 20 singles left, 1 from Kylie, 1 from Enjoy Yourself, 3 from Rhythm Of Love, 2 from Kylie Minogue, 3 from Light Years, 1 from Body Language, 1 from Ultimate Kylie, 2 from X. 2 from Aphrodite and 1 from Kiss Me Once. And also 5 albums = Rhythm Of Love, Light Years, Fever, X and Aphrodite.
December 16, 201410 yr 'Timebomb' is so incredible. Sexy, slick, bouncy electro-pop and I still can't get enough of it. I'd have loved Kiss Me Once to have this sort of sound! 'Wow' is great fun, and highly enjoyable. 'Red Blooded Woman' for me hasn't aged well, I liked it at the time but for me it's fairly mediocre now. I'd put it in the average selection of singles from the Parlo era along with 'Better Than Today' and 'I Was Gonna Cancel'.
December 17, 201410 yr Author If your dreams go nowhere, don't give up the fight http://www.kylie-minogue.cz/files/et_temp/rhytmoflove2-5440_630x210.jpg #05 Rhythm Of Love // 1990 // Avg: 8.043 (10: Stuart25, Kellyann, Red Blooded Man), (5: مدهش*) Before the top 20 singles are announced here's another album, and at #5 is "Rhythm Of Love" which was Kylie's 3rd album, released in November 1990 and the last of the PWL albums to feature in this countdown. While Stock Aitken and Waterman were still the primary producers on this album, Kylie worked sought out new producers for this album, namely Stephen Bray whose worked on Madonna's early albums, and brought the album into a different direction, with an edgier while still pop but with themes of dance, sax guitars and even rapping. As well as changing her image, becoming more sexier and straightening her curls, therefore being dubbed SexKylie. straight away shows a change in style, into more edgier dancefloor sound, pulled off perfectly with such stunning breathy vocals and well crafted pop. follows in the similar vein but with a more harder edged club sound as is Things Can Only Get Better which maintains it's early classic 90's dance sound. While straight forward pop is still prominent on , which is still incredibly catchy and simple pop at it's finest. The only ballad on the album The World Still Turns even shows hints of R&B, therefore being more mature and sophisticated. Then rap is featured for the first time , but not pulled off too greatly, while most of the album is pure greatness, interest does begin to wane towards the end of the album, which isn't as fine as the beginning.
December 17, 201410 yr Author This is what's left in the top 20 singles in chronological order = I Should Be So Lucky Hand On Your Heart Better The Devil You Know Step Back In Time What Do I Have To Do Confide In Me Put Yourself In My Place Spinning Around On A Night Like This Your Disco Needs You Can't Get You Out Of My Head In Your Eyes Love At First Sight Slow I Believe In You In My Arms The One All The Lovers Get Outta My Way Into The Blue Top 4 albums Light Years Fever X Aphrodite Such a strong selection left what do u think
December 17, 201410 yr Definitely some of her strongest singles left with the exception of get outta my way, your disco and in my arms. Don't understand X being in top 4 albums though. Its not her best at all. Half the tracks are great but the other half is a different story. Edited December 17, 201410 yr by slowdown73
December 17, 201410 yr Author Skip a beat and move with my body Omrp4QR_Rpo #20 Slow // Body Language // Avg: 8.142 (11: Luciano, bartsimpson, Red Blooded Man), (10: Acidburn, Slowdown73, Kellyann, Michaelcarty, Jay, Kyliefan '14), (0: Liam) At #20 is "Slow" which is the last of the "Body Language" era singles to drop out of this rate. Released in November 2003 as the album's lead single and straight away marked something completely different to everyone's heard before. People who were expecting "CGYOOMH Pt2" were surely wrong, instead Kylie doesn't decide to play it safe, and ventures into synthpop and very simple, her most adventurous yet and ranks up there with as one of her most memorable hits of her career. Worldwide the song became a success by becoming her 7th UK #1 and her final to date, and also topping the charts in Australia, Denmark, Romania and Spain. Also top 10 peaks in Finland, Greece, Hungary, Norway, Ireland, Canada, Italy, Germany, Belgium and New Zealand. Then top 20 peaks in Netherlands, Sweden, Swiss and Austria. In the USA it didn't fare as well by peaking at #91, her last entry to date.

Released in November 1994 as the 2nd single from her 5th album "Kylie Minogue". Following on from the massive success of "CIM", Kylie slowed things down by venturing into adult contemporary sound and with such stunning vocals. The music video recreated Jane Fonda's "Barbarella" opening sequence and in 1995 it won "Best Australian Video" at the ARIA music awards. The song didn't manage to recreate the success of "CIM" by peaking at #11 in both the UK and Australia and only charted in one other country Germany where it made a small dent at #87 on the charts. But despite this it has become one of her best loved singles amongst fans and has been performed on many of her tours.
December 19, 201410 yr Author Remembering the old days, remember the O'Jays NsMzM49OIII #18 Step Back In Time // Rhythm Of Love // Avg: 8.339 (11: Jester), (10: Kellyann, Mango, Luciano, OceanBlue, MichaelCarty, Red Blooded Man, Kyliefan '14), (5: Nick F1) At #18 is Kylie's first foray into disco music "Step Back In Time", which was released in October 1990 as the 2nd single from her 3rd album "Rhythm Of Love". Originally was going to be released, but was changed at the last minute. This also marked the beginning of a backlash due to her sexing up her image and Smash Hits magazine (who were supporters of her at first) led several polls, which ranged from worst fashion, hair and etc. But nonetheless the song did become another hit for her by reaching #4 in the UK, and became successful on other worldwide charts, despite her success in Europe wasn't sustained in 1990. It managed top 10 peaks in Australia, Ireland, Finland and South Africa, then moderate success on other charts by reaching top 40 in Sweden, Swiss, Netherlands, France, Germany and New Zealand.
December 19, 201410 yr Author Well it's one thing to fall in love, but another to make it last qT6MLhPe3fM #17 Hand On Your Heart // Enjoy Yourself // Avg: 8.339 (11: Simon), (10: Acidburn, Slowdown'73, Gezza, Kellyann, Mango, Jester, MIKEMYER, bartsimpson, Jay, Kyliefan '14), (4: Nick F1) At #17 is the last of the "Enjoy Yourself" era singles "Hand On Your Heart" and with the same average as "SBIT", this managed a lot more 10's. Released in April 1989 as the lead single from that album and became an instant smash hit by becoming her 3rd UK #1 hit and still to this day remains of her best loved and one of my personal fave singles from her. In fact in the UK it became one of the first cassette's to sell well, selling over 2,000 copies, but at the time cassette's weren't allowed on the chart at the time, so it entered at #2, before climbing to the top spot in it's 2nd week and because of this the rules quickly changed, because she would have been the first ever female artist to enter the charts at #1 in the first week. In other countries it topped the charts in Ireland and hit top 10 in Finland, Australia, Spain, Swiss and France, then top 20 in New Zealand, Germany, Sweden and Netherlands. In 2006 the song was covered by and peaked at #29 in the UK. In 2012 Kylie reworked the track like many of her classics for her album with an acoustic sound, which truly highlights the heartbreaking lyrics.
December 19, 201410 yr I'm surprised Hand on your heart isn't higher - another of my top10 favourites.
