#32--->31 obv it will drift down again after the Hollyoaks hype fades. But hey it shows the song has some potential.

Album up to#34--->32 as well...

Very amused Hollyoaks has given it a boost. Definitely gives me a bit of hope. Whilst this is a great song, I think it's an odd single choice so nice to see it getting attention.

I think it's quite a smart choice than odd. It's a ballad and in the run up x-mas, if promoted right it was bound to do alright

Someone said its being played on a bigger channel tomorrow? What channel is that and why or how?

It was played on Hollyoaks on E4 today and will air on Channel 4 tomorrow.

Hollyoaks is a soap on every weekend, but on E4 (the smaller digital channel, like FX in comparison to Fox) they show an advance screening of each episode at 7.00 straight after the Channel 4 (the bigger channel, it's like ABC or Fox) showing. So tonight, there a train crash right at the end of the channel 4 episode and many people would switch over to the advance screening to see who died. It was a well loved character who died so that's partly why it's had an effect. Channel 4 still gets a lot more viewers though so there will still be a significant boost.

Well its certainly a good start, will encourage radio spins and connect better when she performs on TV-- maybe many of us (ahem like me) underestimated its potential....

So this is likely to get a boost again tomorrow is what you're saying? :o

What time does the show air tomorrow, I'm in the US so if you could estimate what time it would be here I would greatly appreciate it. ^_^

Yep :P Typically, the E4 showing can get around 800,000ish viewers for episodes like this where a big character dies or something big happens, Channel 4's figures are usually 1 million to maybe 1.2 million or something like that!

Depends which time zone, at our time it's 6:30pm. It would be 1:30pm EST but it's literally right at the end so between 1:50-1:55pm EST but it'd be difficult to find it live to watch :P the scene will probably be on Youtube in a day or two I expect given it was a popular character who died as I said, if you want to see it that badly :lol: But I guess you just wanted to know when the boost would happen!

I think there are "bigger" songs on there to sell the album with the X Factor performance. I don't think you necessarily need a ballad for Christmas either. It's not 1998. I'm not saying it's a bad song - far from it. Just that it's not one I would have chosen and it's great to see it doing well and appreciating her incredible talent.

Was just wondering about the boost, yes.

Someone already posted the youtube clip on atrl. :lol:

Does this have a chance at charting next week if it stays stable on iTunes? :o

Seems like 31 is going to be it's peak for now. Ready for the boost tomorrow and for her X Factor performance.
I'm very taken with this as a single now I have to say! Ghost, Mirror Man and Missed are my top 3 on the album (Empire 4th although it's still fab) still, but after seeing it in that Hollyoaks scene it really clicked with me. I've been listening to it a lot more since it was announced as the single and it grew slightly but now I love it :wub:

Do you think it has a chance of going top 10 now after an X Factor promo? :o :P

Yeah I guess so, I mean that's like 7 times more viewers than Hollyoaks! The performance might not have as much connection with the audience as it would being used in a scene like the one it was used in, but it's a wider audience and radio might have picked up a bit by then too perhaps (hopefully anyway) as it'll be in a couple of weeks or so.
