Posted November 19, 201410 yr http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a61...~oW3N5PfP1G6sDb Ride confirm reunion for 2015 UK tour and Field Day By Jamie Harris Wednesday, Nov 19 2014, 06:58 GMT Source: digitalspy Rumours that the band could be performing at Primavera Sound next year circulated yesterday (November 18), after a teaser photograph appeared on the Creation Records Facebook page. Full details of a European and US tour were confirmed today, including UK shows and a headline slot at Field Day festival in June. It has been almost 20 years since Mark Gardener, Andy Bell, Laurence 'Loz' Colbert and Steve Queralt's last gig together. The band formed in 1988 and released four albums before their split in 1996 - Nowhere (1990), Going Blank Again (1992), Carnival of Light (1994) and Tarantula (1996). After the band broke up, Bell formed Hurricane #1, who released two albums before splitting. Bell went on to join Oasis in 2000 and then on to Beady Eye after Oasis disintegrated. Gardener and Colbert joined with Sam Williams to form The Animalhouse, who released one album Ready To Receive in 2000 before breaking up in 2002. In 2001, Gardener, Bell, Colbert and Queralt reunited to jam for Channel 4 Sonic Youth documentary Pioneers. The one-off reunion sparked the 2002 release of OX_4 The Best of Ride. In recent weeks, Beady Eye have split, leaving Bell as a free agent. Hurricane #1 have reformed without Bell, with singer Alex Lowe being joined by Paul Quinn, Giancarlo Catell Mariani and Lucas Catelli Mariani. Ride will play nine dates, including two festivals, across the UK, France, The Netherlands and the US. The full tour dates are as follows: May 22 - Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom May 23 - Manchester Albert Hall May 24 - London Roundhouse May 26 - Amsterdam Paradiso May 27 - Paris Olympia May 29 - Barcelona Primavera June 2 -Toronto DanForth Music Hall June 4 - New York Terminal 5 June 7 - London Field Day Tickets for UK and North American dates go on sale Friday (November 21). 4Tp0pqNRCOQ Edited November 19, 201410 yr by Musicmaster
November 19, 201410 yr Good news! Must get me a Barrowlands ticket...annoyingly there's no spare day between gigs so no chance of another date being announced at some venues I'm guessing... Oasis fans keep away...
