September 12, 200620 yr Enjoy. Klaxons: Magick An inspired, reassuring piece of music that is at once joyful, melancholy, despairing and confused. Contact: Ruth Drake, Toast (Single, tbc - Polydor) Kennedy: Your Mama A tongue in cheek pop song with a memorable lyrical twist, this is currently unsigned throughout the world but has been attracting heat at MTV Flux in the US. Contact: Gregg DeMammos, MCT Management (unsigned) The Rifles: Peace & Quiet We have been a fan of this band since their first demos and this track has always shined. A Billy Bragg-like lyrical thread atop a rollicking guitar led heart. Contact: Ritu Morton, six07 press (single, October 9 - Red Ink ) Simon Webbe: Coming Around Again His debut solo album sold 650,000 in the UK, and this first single from the follow up places him in good health to better the result. Contact: Simon Jones, Hackford PR (single, October 30 - Angel) Soul Avengers feat. Javine Club and radio play continues to pick up for this uplifting dance-pop song which shows strong promise at retail. Contact: Matt Learmouth, Alchemy (single, October 2 - Positiva) Nikola Rachelle: Don't Talk About This Love :cheer: Supporting Lemar on his Jazz Café residency this week, Rachelle is a promising young writer with a voice that will connect with broad audiences. Contact: Richard Griffiths, Modest! Management (demo) Vega 4: Traffic Jam Possessing familiarity from the opening bar, second single from Vega 4 is the song to bed them in at commercial radio. Contact: Julie Smith, Columbia (single, October 30 - Columbia) Corinne Bailey Rae: Like A Star This song was our introduction to Corinne and we first featured in 2005. Now set for a re-release, our only concern is whether America will let us have her back?! Contact: William Luff, EMI (single, October 9 - EMI) Josh Pyke: Beg Your Pardon Australian born Pyke was signed by Island earlier this year and this is the lead track from his debut mini-album. Acoustic, melody drenched songs of much beauty. Contact: Dave Woolf, DWL Publicity (from mini-album, November - Island) Brinkman: Kirsten Dunst Kitschy, guitar pop from this recent addition to the revised His Masters Voice label at EMI. A natural for radio play. Contact: Amanda Freeman, Sainted (single, October 9 - Club Fandango)
