Chart run: (3-4-...) 2 weeks (so far)

Hit singles:

03 Drunk In Love / (3-4-6-6-7-10-8-16-18-31-35-44-40-34-44) 15 weeks

05 XO / (5-5-9-10-10) 5 weeks

02 Partition / (5-3-4-4-2-18-34-42-43-44) 10 weeks

02 Pretty Hurts / (2-12-50-50) 4 weeks

01 7/11 / (9-1-4-...) 3 weeks (so far)

This is a 2013 album but only just and it's an album I appreciated long into 2014. Ignore the chart run above because it was another huge victim of my album chart starting so late.. This album is absolutely fantastic from start to finish, I'm not sure if this is better than Sasha Fierce for me because they're so difficult to compare but yes, it probably is better.

Here are my highlights:

• Drunk In Love

• Flawless

• Jealous

• Mine

• Pretty Hurts

Chart run: (1-2-1-2-5-2-...) 6 weeks (so far)

Hit singles:

10 Shake It Off / (10-11-37-32-45-xx[6]-37) 6 weeks

04 Out Of The Woods / (6-4-10-12-23) 5 weeks

30 Welcome To New York / (30-37-36) 3 weeks

01 Blank Space / (2-3-1-1-3-6-....) 6 weeks (so far)

Before this I'd never actually listened to an album by Taylor but I was very excited by the prospect of her being a pop star and I was also excited by the excellent lead single and promotional singles. The album certainly didn't disappointed and has provided me with the best album of 2014. This is pop at its best.

Here are my highlights:

• Blank Space

• Out of the Woods

• All You Had To Do Was Stay

• Bad Blood

• Wildest Dreams

LP1 you know i love

Taylor beating Beyonce :o a few weeks ago i would have been v disappointed at that but i have grown to really appreciate her now and '1989' is an incredible album. Great to see 'Wildest Dreams' in the highlights. One of the pop moments of 2014 for me

Pretty good top 2. I like Beyonce's new album but Sasha Fierce and 4 are quite a lot better

Amazing superb fantastic fabulous number 1 album of the year in Queen Taylor with 1989 :cheer:  Also definitely agree with the album highlights, those 5 tracks are in my top 6 or 7 off the album

So excited for the singles

UV1: I know such a shame she missed out on the Mercury prize, I'm sure the album could've received a bit of a boost too. 'x' is all excellent though :o

Joe: LP1 is definitely an album of all killer, no filler. Preface is a bit crap though.. Glad you like

Riser: Such a shame it wasn't more successful but at least he can claim his first top 10 in the US with it :funky:

Nelly: I love the EP too, I think it made the album even stronger although I was sceptical at first. I've never noticed how excited Bey gets towards the end of that gif lol.

Haus: Beyonce I assosciate as a 2013 album still but it was huge for me this year too. I think that's how 1989 edged it but in 10 years time I'll probably prefer Beyonce. Wildest Dreams is stunning, hoping it might be the third single over the new year...

UV2: 4? 4 is probably one of her weakest albums for me although it has its amazing moments, End of Time/Love On Top! I think Beyonce is better than Sasha Fierce ever so slightly but I definitely hammered the latter more back in the day. I knew you'd be a fan of the #1 anyway :P

Singles will hopefully start tomorrow but I might tease you with a few songs that missed out tonight. :funky:

096. GUY - Lady Gaga (8-12-24-30-28-20-14-33-26-36-x) 10 weeks

097. Oblivion - Bastille (8-5-9-11-16-36-41-47-x) 8 weeks

098. Dead Air - CHVRCHES (12-3-10-12-25-...) 5 weeks (so far)

099. Like I Can - Sam Smith (16-8-2-6-14-x) 5 weeks

100. Sleepless - Cazzette (1-1-3-7-43-x) 5 weeks

GUY - The infamous Lady Gaga 'buzz' single is up next, obviously not as good as Do What U Want but it really did not deserve to flop as bad as it did worldwide. The video was a nice touch too, nice appearance from the real housewives

Oblivion - Bastille's 18th single from their debut album was another good one, this time a stunning slow-tempo number with a huge instrumental background, how can anyone deny those glistening violins supporting Dan's vocals *-*

Dead Air - CHVRCHES' song for the Hunger Games: Mockingjay soundtrack was another excellent single from them, the chorus is just as synthy and beautiful as all their other songs and Lauren's vocals of course sound as excellent as ever. Hope they continue making songs like this in their second era.

Like I Can - Sam Smith's latest single just sneaks in here, an change of tempo from his recent singles and the single which finally made me listen to his fantastic album In The Lonely Hour. It's nice to know he is capable of something not a ballad which is actually good unlike the abymsal Money On My Mind. Long may his new-found success continue. You'll be seeing more of this guy much later on in the countdown so don't worry any Sam fans.

Sleepless - The only personl chart #1 to finish in this section, this is a dance song with fantastic production that I absolutely hammered at first. As indicated by its chart run I shortly got sick of it but it's still a great song to jam to once in a while nowadays. If you like Outlines by Mike Mago then I think you'd enjoy this too.

Yay 'G.U.Y.' - did very well for a buzz single :cheer: ^_^

Also yay for Sam! 'Like I Can' is fabulous and a welcomed change from the slower-tempo'd ballads we get from him!

'Welcome to the Jungle' missing out :nocheer:

Riser: I didn't think much of it at first but it's a nice little R&B tune, Nicki's verse is a great addition too (as always).

Ain't It Fun is something I was addicted too for about two weeks but tired of it quickly, still love it now but this year has been strong for music I think.

Haus: ha iconic buzz single

It is a nice change but I know you'd jump at the chance of Leave Your Lover being the next single. I want I've Told You Now or Restart.

Don't worry Bal, they'll be appearing with another song shortly. WTTJ is excellent but this year has been v strong for me. There's plenty of your other faves along the way too!

How did you know i liked 'Leave Your Lover' :o

And i hope it doesn't appear too "shortly"!! It can come as late into this countdown as is possible for all i care <3

YAY at Taylor winning the album countdown :D Never really got the hype for the Bey album though sadly. Cannot deny Drunk In Love/XO/***Flawless (the original) though.

LOVE G.U.Y! Like I Can is great too :D Fabulous countdown so far Josh!

Haus: I'd say it's coming pretty shortly but then it's probably not the song you may think.

Joseph: Flawless (original) is probably the main highlight from the album but I think the remix elevates it, I just miss the 'bow down' parts.

Glad you're enjoying it and thanks both!

091. Stay The Night - Zedd (feat. Hayley Williams) (10-6-3-x) 3 weeks

092. Don't Tell 'Em - Jeremih (feat. YG) (12-1-9-25-48-x) 5 weeks

093. Steal My Girl - One Direction (33-24-13-14-17-21-49-x) 7 weeks

094. Let Go For Tonight - Foxes (7-4-4-4-x) 4 weeks

095. Ultraviolence - Lana Del Rey (11-xx[2]-28-43-35-33-46-39-24-43-x) 9 weeks

Stay The Night: Back in the days of a 'Josh's top 10' chart this was pretty big earlier in the year and actually spent a little while at the top of the daily chart I did back then. Sadly, due to the chart not being very big it doesn't have a very favourable run here but it's still a great dance tune to get down with.

Don't Tell 'Em: This didn't really have a great run in my chart as I think most of my love for it went into the week it was #1 here, it's still a big urban jam for me though so I'm glad to see it was so successful. Needs a Nicki feature on top though tbh.

Steal My Girl: The beginning for my new-found love for 1D came with their excellent single Steal My Girl, I remember playing it loads when it first leaked and just loving how strong it was, both the verses and chorus work very well together. Harry's bridge is probably the best bit about this song though.

Let Go For Tonight: Another song suffering from the top 10 chart, this is a song I completely hammered back at the start of 2014 but I quickly became tired of it. Recently it's been growing back on me and thoroughly deserves it's placing here. You'll be seeing more of her later on with another great tune.

Ultraviolence: The better single from Lana's latest album appears here, the hook is just so haunting. I remember hearing this a lot in the car and it growing on me every time hence it's lengthy chart run despite peaking at #11.

'Don't Tell 'Em' was HUGE in Canada when i was there in the Summer. Shocked it took so long to make it over here but glad it did eventually and turned into a hit of sorts! 'Steal My Girl' is one of 1D's best too, though 'Night Changes' has just overtaken it for me now i think. The video for SMG is one of their best too <3

I was disappointed by Stay the Night, just felt like a very weak version of Clarity. Break Free was a slight improvement on that though so I'm thankful for that at least, I doubt he'll top Clarity though.

Don't Tell Em is a jam :music: Don't think it'll make my top 100 but it's a banging tune~

Oblivion is one of the best songs on bad blood so I am glad it got a single release as track 500 to be a single from bad blood. Let go for tonight is also great

And then we have the absolutely stunning amazing fantastic gorgeous and in her best 3 ever tracks which is saying something in Ultraviolence, how much I adore that track so it's great to see it make the top 100 here  (though it should be about 70-80 places higher at least :))

Can't wait for the top 90 Jaanta
