Video Girl <3 LP1 is so stunning in general.

7/11 took a while for me but it's so catchy and a bit of a hot mess so I'm beginning to realise I have to love it!

Dan: yeah so happy ariana was big this era cause she always had the potential, wonder if she'll always be a teen-pop star of if she'll ever make it super huge. yep say you love me is still to come but obv tough love is stunnning too, what a fab vocalist. i still love stay with me every week on the chart, same goes for thinking out loud although i see others thinkg different. krishane isn't the best vocalist but i still think it's a bop, glad melissa featured on a couple of dance tracks 'cause her voice really suits it.

 

Joe: glad you're enjoying it. more from jessie ware and shakshak to come!

 

Neil: it'll definitely be sticking around for a while to come, huge bop

 

Regina: eek hopefully you like some stuff to come, no kylie to come though soz

 

Liam: oh yes! but this is definitely a highlight, give up and lights on too! 7/11 is such a mess but such a jam, sounds fresh too

Yellow Flicker Beat: The instrumental during the chorus of this is so huge that it sounds amazing when played loud. Very happy we got some new Lorde earlier than expected and this was exactly what I wasn't expecting but I love it lots anyway. Definitely a grower too.

 

I Don't Care: Cheryl's second best single ever behind Parachute, fantastic feel-good track with a funny video to match. Just a nice little track to enjoy when you're up, down or in whatever mood.

 

Wrapped Up: This reminds me of Treasure but 100x better, I've been a big fan of all of Olly's singles in the past and this did not disappoint, just another very good pop tune to add to his brimming collection.

 

Glory and Gore: I think my love for this has kind of been dampened by not being able to hear it on commercial radio etc. but that chart run really does illustrate my love for it. Definitely the best album track from the start and I was glad it was chosen as a single (or was it? not rly sure tbh)

 

Pills N Potions: finally the start of a new era for nicki and i loved it from the word go, i really did overplay it though hence its kinda short run. still absolutely adore it now though and the its parent album is just as fantastic :funky:

Gore & Glory :wub: Amazing! I only just bought her album out of interest and everything is so good :music: White teeth teen and Team though :heart:

 

Justice4Nicki :mansoncheer: , I really liked this song but it did take a LONG time for it to click with me.

 

Tough love, love me harder, our time and heart on fire (so glad to see the latter get a mention on that underrated or something article on digital spy) are all very good

I love I don't care and wrapped up is one of Olly's best lead singles and I adore yellow flicker beat after seeing mockingjay part 1 :wub:

Neil: same i just thought i'd ask for it for christmas because royals was good and i fell in love. team is the highlight though *-*

pills n potions was incredibly instant for me but i think that's just because i was so thirsty for new solo nicki material

 

Ultraviolence: HOF is so underrated, really wish it got more attention because her voice is lovely in the verses. Glad you're enjoying it!

Shower: this is just so summery and euphoric, love the 'la da di' part of the chorus and the rapping verses are very catchy too. really should've got a uk push..

 

Goodness Gracious: *TOP 10 VICTIM ALERT* yes another victim of that stupid decision to have a t10 chart :( this was another great single from ellie from an excellent album, sadly it didn't reach top 10 officially but it really should have.

 

Not Giving Up: The Sats' only appearance here which is alright for there least stellar year in a long time. This year was pretty naff from them really but they provided us with this lil beauty which i really love. more of this please girls and not waywf shite

 

Changing: i remember hearing this for the first time and thinking wow what an odd match up but gee does it WORK! drum n bass at its absolute best, paloma's vocals are just stunning too.

 

2 On: another urban jam, i'm very fond of these and this is one of the best. she has a better song still to come though but sadly this is her only big hit ww when she should be much bigger

I actually really like the song in all honesty! The chorus is so damn catchy :music:

Surprised Not Giving Up is so low here! I LOVE Glory and Gore. Should have released it.

Neil: I know! It was just such a slow burner for me, she did have a T10 hit in my chart though which is still to come so don't tell Bal yet :P It is very very catchy I agree.

 

UV: yes her vocals are stunning on it, i love it when she belts out 'everything is chaaanging' near the end. I think it's no lie that PRETEND is my favourite Tinashe song and is still to come so go and check it out. Not sure if you'll like it or not but I think it's stunning. Most people will say 2 On is her best though.

 

Joe: I know but I just don't hear it much anymore, still the best thing they did this year by a long shot. Glad you like Glory and Gore, I agree it totally should've got a push..

Feelin Myself: this was one of my favourite songs right at the start of the year but it was before my chart started hence no chart run for it. a huge guilty pleasure, i like quite a lot of will.i.am's stuff and this is more of nonsensical lyrical genius. miley's verse is amazing too :lol:

 

Break Free: this is just a huge dance-pop tune with excellent vocals which is beginning to be a recurring theme for ariana. the 'ooh baby' in the bridge is the best part of this song hands down.

 

Sail: again, before my chart so no chart run, a great alternative smash and the instrumental to this is is just amazing and then you add vocals and it's even better. glad this was a hit both sides of the pond but really it should have been even bigger

 

Sweater Weather: again, this is another not full chart run, too early in the year! this should have been SO much bigger in the uk, another fantastic alternative single. i remember seeing it in the hot 100 charts and smashing it again and again.

 

Chandelier: the week this peaked at #13 it was actually on course for #2 but i went off it at the end of the week.. bad decision on my behalf because i obviously ended up completely loving it again once it started becoming huge in the uk. that chorus is just stunning!

Feelin' myself :cheer: Such a guilty pleasure for me too.

 

Break Free sounded extremely generic and disappointing at first but it just grew on me so much over the past months that I can't help but love it :music: Ariana sounds amazing!

Sail :wub: Made my EOY top 5 of last year (although if I re-did that chart it wouldn't be top 5), so many good things about that song

 

Chandelier is amazing too, my chart run also doesn't reflect how much I like it

Break Free is great and Chandelier is of course stunning, Sia's vocals :wub: :wub:

Neil: BF was really instant for me but I knew it was so generic, she does sound great but then she always seems to.

'Pills n Potions' is an absolute beauty. it's becoming one of my ALL-TIME faves from her now and i did not see that coming. Whenever i listen to the album i just anticipate it coming and i'm moved everytime it comes on :cry:

 

Chandelier and 2 On are two of the best of the year for me, so yay for their inclusions but boo at them being mid-low-table :( - will both do considerably better in my eoy :ph34r:

 

Woop, will keep a closer eye on this now, especially as we're getting into the REALLY good stuff :D

bal: pills n potions is so mellow but fierce at the same time, really enticing and i do love going back to it but i think a lot of the album is probably better because it's all so strong!

 

they're stll top 65 of the year which means v good songs, i know you stan for 'em more though
