Anaconda is statistically and overall the worst of the year but don't forget this forum has like 90% gay users so only some of us seem to hate it :thinking:

'Shot Me Down' and 'Dibby Dibby Sound' deserved a lot higher, but 'Wiggle' (or 'It's My Birthday') to win this!

All Of Me is a good song but I think the only thing wrong with it is its continuous climbing in the top 40. It seems to be going down now but most likely will climb up big time in a month or so in the gift card effect, among other songs :drama:

Well this really surprised me. How even does this song attract enough hate to go Top 15? It's not as great as 'I Need A Dollar' and obviously nowhere near the quality of Avicii's 'Wake Me Up' which he of course was a big part of but it was great to see him get a solo #1 even if it was selling largely off the back of WMU, and all follow-ups did nothing. I guess he's a one hit per era guy in which case expect another song of his to go in the high end of the chart soon although I doubt he'll ever go to #1 again. Was expecting this to be bigger than it actually was anyway but we do have it to thank for stopping 'DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE OF ME' climbing to #1. The song is quite repetitive and takes a big sample from 'Your Song' so I guess it gets hate for that but I think it's a nice little tune, not a vintage #1 of the year though.

5SOS miss the top 10 in the end (fans rejoice) as their final entry drops out at #14. Credit has to be given to them for somehow making a song even worse than 'She Looks So Perfect', it's so boring and the lyrics aren't particularly inspiring. I wish I could wake up with amnesia and forget this song ever existed.

'Amnesia' is WAY better than 'She Looks So Perfect' and 'Don't Stop'...

That surprises me a bit, I thought their other singles would have attracted a lot more hate than 'Amnesia'. :o

Amnesia is my least fave 5SOS song but it's still brilliant :heart: And Ashton in the YouTube thumbnail :wub:

This song doesn't deserve to be so high, but as with most overexposed songs it gets on people and they hate it. I do like the faux-reggae vibes from the song though and it's something slightly different for a big chart hit. Also became the first song to go top 50 on streams alone. When will your faves?

I don't think The Man is that offensive to be so high here, but it is a forgettable and WTF number 1 with a very bizarre use of a sample disguising quite a bland song.

In a year of many #1s of course we were going to have some non-#1s, but I don't think anyone expected something as awful as 1-7-54, not too surprising anyway as the cover is quite nice and that's it really, not something I hate but the song works far better in its original form. Doesn't help of course that they aren't particularly good singers, it seemed to only sell on it being a charity single.

Yay for Wake Me Up getting some decent hate (should easily be in the top 10), although both The Man and Amnesia seem rather inoffensive to me?

 

There's nothing interesing about "The Man" (it's worse than "Say Something"), and I think people only hate "Amnesia" because it sounds like "Little Things" meets "Hey There Delilah" (albeit a better version of the two). YAAS at "Wake Me Up" dying pretty high.

Well what a contrast we have, from the #1 with the shortest top 40 run ever to the #1 with the longest consecutive top 40 run, I am of course talking about the defining song of the year "Happy", which is an amazing song always guaranteed to put a smile on your face, not even sure how you can hate this one but here you go it's your #11.
