December 29, 201410 yr Author 40. Lauren Aquilina - Lovers Or Liars Peak | 4 Sales | 600, 000 Certification | LFu1OZ_PoLY Scraping the top 40, is this incredibly beautiful track by Lauren Aquilina. This is taken from her Liars EP which was released this year and is indeed part of her trilogy CD which was awarded my EP of the year award earlier this month! Lauren is incredibly underrated as an artist and I would strongly recommend you give her a listen. Her vocals are on point! 39. Demi Lovato - Let It Go Peak | 6 Sales | 600, 000 Certification | kHue-HaXXzg The first Let It Go to drop out of the chart is Demi's version which is amazing. I imagined Elsa to have Demi's singing voice to Idina's, but as I love them both I am not complaining :D 38. Alexa Goddard - So There Peak | 1 Sales | 600, 000 Certification | SKl5O-KK4BQ :cheer: Another incredibly underrated track this year is So There by Alexa Goddard. I didn't pay much attention to Marilyn as I don't really like Marilyn Monroe (don't kill me) but So There really brought my eyes towards her. Alexa has done so well on my chart with this track, spending 2 weeks at number 1, whilst having the highest opening week sales of the year! (186,000) 37. 5 Seconds Of Summer - Amnesia Peak | 2 Sales | 602, 000 Certification | DCCJCILiX3o I went through a phase of loving this song for several months, which is why it is top 40. Luke has the best voice in the band, well I think so anyway, and the fact he took the lead on the chorus made me appreciate it more. I don't really like Callum's voice sadly as I find it rather bland... 36. Nicki Minaj - Anaconda Peak | 3 Sales | 602, 000 Certification | LDZX4ooRsWs I got a big fat ass. This song is my drunk jam, not gonna lie. 35. Beth Sherburn - Joker Peak | 1 Sales | 604, 000 Certification | SblU7RBiIes Another one of my BJSC flops. I saw Beth live when supporting the Sats and instantly loved her. This track is no different and managed to score Beth her first number 1 on my chart! :D 34. Christina Perri - The Words Peak | 1 Sales | 606, 000 Certification | nTqU76Q2OSs My favourite song on Head or Heart! I am SO excited that this is her next single and that the music video is going to drop soon (I'll edit it in when it arrives!!!) It is a truly stunning song which deserved it's number 1 title :P 33. Hilary Duff - All About You - Peak | 2 Sales | 608, 000 Certification | dA1ZmHibs4w Queen Hilary returns! I was so glad Chasing The Sun was just a promo single because this is 1000 times better and so catchy. I love the country vibes it gives off and Hilary looks stunning in the video. 32. Iggy Azalea (ft. Rita Ora) - Black Widow Peak | 1 Sales | 622, 000 Certification | u3u22OYqFGo This was such an amazing hook up. I was so glad it smashed and was a great follow up to Fancy :cheer: 31. Lawson - Parachute Peak | 8 Sales | 648, 000 Certification | BLCVLxI8tSI The single that never was. Along with Love Locked Out, this is my favourite Lawson album track. It could be one of the best things they have ever done! Edited December 30, 201410 yr by Cameron
December 29, 201410 yr Let it go (Demi's version) is great and I really like so there, it only bombed in my chart because it was up against 13 Taylor tracks in its release week :) And 3 songs I bought as singles between 41-50 :o Only teardrops is such a great song and your love is so catchy  Though its like at least 40 places too low, yay for Queen SLAYLOR here with shake it off :cheer: It is definitely one of my favourite songs ever  Edited December 29, 201410 yr by Ultraviolence1989
December 30, 201410 yr Author 30. G.R.L. - Ugly Heart Peak | 1 Sales | 666, 000 Certification | BxRQNO8vg2Y At number 30 is one of my favourite girlband tracks of the year. Ugly Heart was not as instant as Vacation was for me, but it slowly grew on me each day and I can now happily say that it is their best track to date. This, along with Break Free was voted the 5th Block number 1 as they both ended up with the same score. Well deserved I must say. Expect Lighthouse to be this high next year as I cannot wait to hear it and chart it! :cheer: 29. Ashley Roberts - Woman Up Peak | 5 Sales | 672, 000 Certification | X4f3aeiZJtI Woman Up is an incredibly underrated song. I think it is miles better than Salute by Little Mix... Just saying! Ashley has had an incredible year on my chart, and this is the first of 2 entries inside the top 30. I hope she continues to release music as her album is phenomenal. 28. Sam Bailey - Compass Peak | 2 Sales | 674, 000 Certification | sMzuNoZGUAE I went through a phase of listening to this track constantly. Some of you may know that I love a good power ballad. This track is no different. Sam Bailey has an incredible belting voice and it did not let us down when it came to belting the notes in this track. A very well done to her! 27. Cher Lloyd - Sirens Peak | 2 Sales | 702, 000 Certification | iyqFA0JGc-o Originally, Sirens debuted at number 8. It fell out of the chart after 3 weeks. I then rediscovered the song and fell in love with it all over again. It spent 3 weeks at number 2 and a total of 5 weeks in the top 3. This is a huge achievement for Cher as it is her biggest selling single to date (despite Oath peaking at number 1, it is only 6,000 copies behind Sirens.) 26. Ella Eyre - Comeback Peak | 1 Sales | 706, 000 Certification | KnnvfHz7qzA This is probably my unexpected number 1 of the year. Comeback was so instant with me and managed to claim the milestone in its second week. I love singing along to this track and Ella has an incredible voice. I NEED an Ella/Paloma collaboration in my life. 25. Anastacia - Stupid Little Things Peak | 1 Sales | 736, 000 Certification | x67trYfuzV0 The best comeback of 2014 is definitely, without a doubt, Anastacia's. Stupid Little Things is just incredible. She slays the vocals, she looks amazing in the video and she just brings back the sound that made me fall in love with her over 10 years ago! :o 24. Ella Henderson - Ghost Peak | 1 Sales | 750, 000 Certification | tA8AfQaUnXM Where do I begin with Ghost? I will simply just say, Shamazing. 23. The Saturdays - What Are You Waiting For? Peak | 1 Sales | 762, 000 Certification | ahdmNS9Nkm0 I don't get the hate for this track. It was very instant with me. Plus I ain't complaining about the video. Vanessa in a bikini? YES PLEASE. :cheer: 22. Idina Menzel - Let It Go Peak | 1 Sales | 772, 000 Certification | moSFlvxnbgk I don't want to go into too much about Let It Go as I know it is hated on here by many, but I personally adore it and it was the first number 1 of the year selling 102,000 copies in its first week :D 21. HAIM - If I Could Change Your Mind Peak | 1 Sales | 772, 000 Certification | Ljg6g7BAdQo HAIM have been so consistent with their singles this era. This is by far my favourite track on the album, along with The Wire which managed number 37 in last years EOY countdown. Well done girls! :D Edited December 30, 201410 yr by Cameron

I have been a fan of Sharna Bass for a while, watching her videos on youtube and was super excited when I heard she would be on the follow up track to Rather Be! I love how chilled this track is and I am glad it got a single release. I am also so happy that it went top 20 in my end of year chart as I feel it is very underrated. :) http://38.media.tumblr.com/1bb3f7a7264536ad196793d7e3253b25/tumblr_n9xf21uF9C1qbl99lo2_400.gif

I really do love this track. It is so cheesy but in a good way. If you listen to the lyrics they really are fantastic. I just think that there is not enough songs like this in today's society which does make me quite sad. Anyway, this track also cause their album to go straight to number 1 on my chart and was a great follow up to their number 7 track Thank You from last year! http://cdn.teen.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/mkto-classic.gif 18. Charli XCX - Boom Clap http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/eb/Charli_XCX_-_Boom_Clap_(Official_Single_Cover).png/220px-Charli_XCX_-_Boom_Clap_(Official_Single_Cover).png Peak | 1 Sales | 824, 000 Certification | AOPMlIIg_38 One of my favourite discoveries this year. I adore Charli and her music! She is such a talented songwriter and her voice is very unique, which I love. This track has done incredibly well for Charli and made room for a string of top 10 hits for her on my chart this year. Very well done to her! http://38.media.tumblr.com/5a1943a7a0ca5fd3fcd09de44d85f772/tumblr_n8y0uzdbSh1qf9mevo1_500.gif

This did not disappoint! It was quite a shock that she decided to lead the album with a ballad, but I have to say, it worked well. I love the track and I love the references to a clock throughout the song. :cheer: http://www.popjustice.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/screenshot_492.jpg 16. I G G Y! Fancy has become one of my favourite rap songs of the year. I adore Iggy and Charli's vocals on this track was an added bonus. The video is just incredible and Iggy is just so creative with everything she does. I really liked this track when it came out as it didn't sound like a typical boy band song (even though they are not a boy band.) However now I see that they have given up the sound they started with and have went on to meaningless tripe that is written by people FOR boy bands... :( Nevertheless, it is a great achievement for them (well in my eyes) to be this high  http://31.media.tumblr.com/e6c641dd46b2a4bc96bdf59a03b57152/tumblr_nhb1o0DBHG1u4ynjko1_500.gif Edited December 30, 201410 yr by Cameron

Bebe's vocals are absolutely outstanding on this track and the chorus is incredibly infectious. It spent 4 consecutive weeks at number 2 and failed to make the number 1 spot during it's top 3 run. :( Still, nevertheless the track has done incredibly well on my end of year chart at it's crazy to think that it is 130,000 copies off of 1 million sales! It is also the highest non number 1 single in the chart, which is another achievement! :D Edited December 30, 201410 yr by Cameron
December 30, 201410 yr Holding onto Heaven is the only Foxes song that I really love. The others are so average!

It took a while for Chandelier to hit me, but I have to say that now it is definitely one of her best songs. The emotion in her vocals is incredibly noticeable and is perhaps the reason why no one seems to be able to pull it off live (except Sia.) 9. Ariana Grande (ft. December 31, 201410 yr Hey Cameron! How have you been? 40. Lauren Aquilina - Lovers Or Liars This is good. I just didn't appreciate it at the time of you charting it  39. Demi Lovato - Let It Go 38. Alexa Goddard - So There I had this on my phone ready to listen for weeks and weeks and never got round to it in the end. It is a great song but was unjustly kept from my chart :kink: 36. Nicki Minaj - Anaconda 33. Hilary Duff - All About You  I majorly prefer Chasing The Sun but All About You is amazing just like Hilary herself and any music she does. She was my icon when I was a teenager, watching all her movies and having all her physical albums  Fact: She has the exact same birthday as me including the year :o 32. Iggy Azalea (ft. Rita Ora) - Black Widow 30. G.R.L. - Ugly Heart 28. Sam Bailey - Compass  Thus far I feel really underwhelmed when it comes to Sam Bailey. I proper wanted her to win xfactor but it doesn't seem that SYCO knew what to do with her once they had her and from what I've heard she might be getting dropped from SYCO now. I firmly believe she could be the next subo album sales wise and i don't think she'll have any problem Conquering the chart of someone else snaps her up and uses her full potential. 27. Cher Lloyd - Sirens 26. Ella Eyre - Comeback 25. Anastacia - Stupid Little Things 24. Ella Henderson - Ghost 23. The Saturdays - What Are You Waiting For? So brilliant to see this so high here. Very underrated imo. I absolutely 100% think this is one of their best songs so far even if it is cheap and it's criminal that it underperformed. 22. Idina Menzel - Let It Go 21. HAIM - If I Could Change Your Mind 20. Clean Bandit (ft. Sharna Bass) - Extraordinary 18. Charli XCX - Boom Clap 15. Iggy Azalea (ft. Charli XCX) - Fancy 13. Foxes - Holding Onto Heaven 11. Cash Cash (ft. Bebe Rexha - Take Me Home 10. Sia - Chandelier 9. Ariana Grande (ft. Iggy Azalea) - Problem Astounding top 40 so far. YAY for Paloma still to come :cheer:

Tich wrote this track with Nick Jonas a few years ago and is one of my favourites by her. I was so happy to learn that it was going to get a singles release :o ! Unfortunately Tich has been dropped from her label and has moved to songwriting. This saddens me but I wish her all the best :cheer: http://media2.giphy.com/media/GQWi9EhkpmBs4/200.gif 7.
