clams casino with an insanely kewl mixtape is #30; after him we have a swedish double trouble lorentz and jj who released their records earlier in 2014; aphex twin were hyped up when syro was being released but unfortunately hype died and with it died my interest to the record; 2012's #1 album, iamamiwhoami's kin, is #46. inevitable given we got new material this year from them; bounty is still to come btw oops; tUnE-yArDs had a very nice record released very early this year so it also makes the list yay; another two of 1q releases namely le1f's hey ep and wild beasts' new album join nikki nack finishing just outside the top 40; wife's what's between is a nice effort although it was massively boosted by 3 highlights from it; and a lucky 41st position we have the latest bjsc winner josef salvat and his latest fabulous ep. still don't know which version of diamonds i prefer

Horrible tbh

in 40th we have maroon 5's 5th album which is called V aka 5. yay and not like nobody is calling their albums numbers these days *cough* jj adele *cough*; mr. kitty's 2014 album 'time' is the third and penultimate appearance of the american synthpop artist in the top 60. unforchhhh death grips disbanded this year but not before they could put out first half of 'the powers that b' called 'niggas on the moon' which is the perfect balance between crazy and bjork. took a bit to grow on me though. cannot wait for the last half but after that we will have to say goodbye :'( shlohmo/jeremih's ep had been delayed more times than i can remember, at some point i must've lost all hope. it literally took months. i mean come awn. 'bo peep (do u right)' was deemed 2nd best song of 2013 by myself so i had huge hopes for this, but unfortunately it was quite disappointing. ex-russian zola jesus released her best work to-date this year as well. very very strong but alas needed a bit more oomph; yammy makes a reappearance in the ye album chart from last year's 11th place; willow beats and their incredible ep finishes one step higher; banks had been teasing us with new tracks for a few months before releasing a full debut lp which turned out to be great but containing some dull moments. less is more, bitch. clean bandit high in this bitch mostly because of how hot the violin guy is (look at me being all alexrange!) and two #1 songs i had in my chart this year which absolutely rocked my world around spring or so; die antwoord are always extremely instant but lose the appeal after a while; i guess i just overlistened to their latest record because i don't particularly care to listen to it once more anymore oops; still remember sissying that walk in the streets of my town this summer with 'happy go sucky f***y' in my headphones playing for the 15th time <3

Olly cropping up in the albums, yaaaass *.*

what a fresh and interesting record from yelle this year! it's probably ranking just above safari disco club for me as her best now. very now, very new, very fresh, very rapey... i mean dr luke :D katy b and her flop of an attention-grabber album is 29th. soz but the bonus tracks are fab and there's some filler in this joint. milessssssss better than her previous stuff though, witches' brew notwithstanding as it's still her best work to-date bye; my bulgarian german bae D E N A released her debut lp early this year as well and I couldn't be happier! it's fun, it's kewl, it's interesting. she doesn't pretend to break boundaries in pop music or shit like that. she just sings about swimming pools as places where people could hang in! queen of life if i ever saw one! mr.kitty's 2012 record is #27. to me it's his most emotional album and seeing how my grandmother's death and one of the songs from it are now very closely linked, it elevates the record on another level. fatima al qadiri's debut is one place above. desert strike ep caught my attention in 2012 and i've been a fan ever since. so fresh and innovative to my ears love love love; EMA's incredibly strong q1 release is finishing at #25. can she do any wrong though? i discovered 'past life martyred saints' at the end of 2011 and i've been quite a fan ever since. i love smart music even if the music itself isn't that appealing after first listen; imogen heap finally released her sparks album this year which would be even more amazing if she didn't take like 4 years to do it. i am now so bored with all the songs from it i loved a few years ago; the mockingjay pt. 1 soundtrack finishes just outside the top 20 boosted by ariana grande, chemical brothers/miguel and lorde's tracks on it which are absolutely phenomenal; you can murder me but i strongly believe that ben howard's sophomore record is much better than 'every kingdom'. i even relistened to both of them recently but couldn't consume 'every kingdom' in full; owen pallett was probably my most anticipated album of 2014, except for yammy of course, and it kinda disappointed me a bit. owen pallett's 'e is for estranged' was a #1 song of 2010 and 'heartland' finished 5th in the album chart of the same year so #20 is pretty underwhelming. he was doing his thang so i can't be that angry/sad/disappointed
