So after all the hype if Batman vs Superman we're getting Suicide Squad not long after the aforementioned film.

 

The cast list is pretty impressive.. fairly sure everyone's eyes will be on Jared Leto!

Will Smith – Deadshot

 

Tom Hardy – Rick Flag

 

Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn

 

Jai Courtney – Boomerang

 

Cara Delevingne – Enchantress

I'm really intrigued to see where they head with this. Aren't they all villains? I know everyone "loves the bad guy" etc... but it'll be interesting if they can actually turn this into something GOOD and not like a hot mess like 'Man Of Steel' was.

 

Jared Leto is of course going to be the one to watch. I'm excited to see what he brings and adds to the Joker, because all the other jokers before, have been on complete opposite ends of the spectrum. I am thinking he will put in a fantastic performance of the character! The casting does indeed look HUGE, which is why I'm a little apprehensive about the film, personally. We all know too well just how much a big cast can set something up, only for it to be a massive disappointment. But we shall wait and see.

Quite looking forward to this but I'm not sure Will Smith is right for Deadshot. Jared Leto will be interesting as Joker but he might suffer from the spectre of Ledger's much loved take on the character. Personally I'd rather like to see Mark Hammil do it but that isn't going to happen.

 

I'm also a concerned about Harley Quinn. I have no idea who Margot Robbie is and have nothing against her but Harley is my fave of all comic book characters ever so as much as I've always wanted her in a film, I'm dreading hating it. Arleen Sorkin and Tara Strong are both clearly too old to play her but they are big shoes to fill.

Unfortunately this doesn't ring any bells as I think the last time I saw Neighbours Kylie was still in it.

 

There's been talk of Deathstroke appearing as Amanda Waller's personal bodyguard. This may be an error and they actually mean Deadshot though. Hopefully it is as it really doesn't fit his character.

Did you see 'Wolf Of Wall Street' this year? Margot Robbie was the lady who played Leonardo DiCaprio's wife.

So so excited for this now, absolutely in love with Margot Robbie at the moment and Will and Cara are great :wub:

I have high hopes for this, love how Jared does such a good job of transforming for his roles.

He looks totally ridiculous tbh. He looks like a meth head, the Joker always have an air of suave about him, he never needed to have a "look at how insane I am!!!"

look to him. Also, I really can't see how he would sit and let someone tattoo him, he seems more the "use a knife and do it himself" kinda guy.

 

I also hate Jared Leto too, which doesn't help.

I think he looks amazing. While I would be surprised if anyone can ever beat the Heath Ledger joker, Jared Leto is also an incredible method actor.

The general consesus among Bat-fans does appear positive. Certainly seems to inspired by the more recent stylings of Mr J. rather than the Cesar Romero version that the public is most familiar with. The Joker's been depicted with tattoos before so that's hardly a talking point and the pose is straight out of The Killing Joke which is a nice touch. I just hope they can get Harley right as she's arguably the most popular character in it and it being her long awaited big screen debut there's a lot of pressure riding on her.

Yeah and with Madonna slated to play her it would have been awful but the Joel Scumacher's vision for Gotham is best left forgotten. He single handedly killed all of Burton's good work and ended any hope of Batman films for far too long.
