August 1Aug 1 I’d also like this hoping to nab a CD! I’m glad they’re also continuing with these and hope they do the Tangled Up and Out of Control eras too when it’s time for their 20th anniversary (or sooner). It would be nice if this one could also nab a top 40 re-entry! I guess it depends on what the additional material is.
August 3Aug 3 Glad they are doing this, while not my fave album from them id like to see all their albums available on vinyl.
August 3Aug 3 I just hope the Christmastry vinyl comes too! 😍Confession: I haven't actually bought any of the vinyls yet, keep waiting for them to drop in price, I'd buy Chrismastry in a heartbeat thought! Was it showed as Christmas round ours or something?
August 4Aug 4 I was wondering when this would surface, but seems they are roughly sticking to the 20-year anniversary dates albeit a few months out. Also looking forward to having Singapore on streaming finally!

August 5Aug 5 It'll be interesting to see which The Sound of Girls Aloud released songs are lumped in with Chemistry. The aforementioned Singapore indeed belongs to the third album demo sessions, so it's perfect to include, but what about...Something Kinda OooohThe Crazy LifeMoneyI Think We're Alone Now [I wonder if their team will remember there was an original album version, or if they'll only consider the single mix?]Why Do It(+ remixes of Something Kinda Ooooh and I Think We're Alone Now)It would feel a bit odd to me if those 2 singles are retroactively packaged with Chemistry*. I'm not convinced they'd re-release The Sound of Girls Aloud though, even though it is their best selling release (and seeing that artwork on vinyl would be a hoot x). So if it's the only way for SKO and ITWAN to have their moment in the reissues, I'll accept them on Chemistry. [I would then be disappointed if they're only on the CD but not on the vinyl though, because I'd love to have Something Kinda Ooooh on vinyl].I wonder what else could be on Chemistry? Maybe songs we don't even know about. There's also an unreleased version of What a Feeling that could be included!* It wouldn't be the first time they've awkwardly shoehorned Something Kinda Ooooh and I Think We're Alone Now on a release of theirs. The albums box set from 2013 included them (and Something New) on the B Sides disc!
August 8Aug 8 From Popjustice forum: Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2 this morning said Nicola Roberts is a guest next week and "has some big news".Assuming that it'll be a Chemistry reissue announcement!

Tuesday at 14:021 day The new version sounds wonderful! Sooo excited to hear this in full!Interestingly on Radio 2's system it is tagged as "Singapore (Definitive Version)"
Tuesday at 16:311 day This is so exciting!! New version of 'Singapore' sounding great from that snippet with Sarah getting new solo lines in the first verse!

"Singapore" is one of my favourite tracks of them and I've always been sad that it's been lost to a bonus disc on The Sound Of... It's part of my favourite Xenomania "trilogy" of songs ("Singapore", "Memory of You", and "I Left My Heart in Tokyo" - thematically they seem to fit together to me), and I'm just thrilled that it's having its own moment to shine after all these years!
