December 7, 201410 yr Author TBH I find it quite funny! Come on, why does everyone take everything so seriously?
December 12, 201410 yr The problem with any comedy now is it's watered down more and more so that observations and witty set-ups for one liners have become no-no for fear of upsetting someone. Comedy is supposed to have bite, Family Guy is about as un PC as you can get and it's hilarious. I don't take offence at non-PC jokes directed at me, or any of my minority statuses - of which i have a few. It's all about context. So, in answer, it was mildly amusing, along the same lines as the gag about madonna having kids by three different fathers and living on an estate. Yes, I'm from that background so it must be OK. Actually we dreamed of being as well off as the average council-estate dweller in 2014. We were so poor the mice left US cheese overnight. It's funny cos there's a mild element of truth in all humour, exaggeration just takes it up a level..
December 12, 201410 yr dream of mice? you were lucky! we used to dream of dreaming of having mice. We could only afford mice once the fleas, headlice, and the "worms" had left the flat. Well I say flat, it were a roofless corner with a cardboard cutout o' cooker and t'sink
December 12, 201410 yr You had cardboard? We used to long for cardboard. All we had were a bunch of used paper tissues. Before we used 'em we had to lick 'em clean for us lunch.
