Yuck at the thought that John Legend could become an Oscar winner :ouke2: Still hope Lana can win with her stunning Big Eyes :wub: (especially after last years GG song didn't win the Oscar)

So happy how to train your dragon 2 won best animation. I am in the tiny minority that thinks this is way better than the first and so underrated

Shocked at the theory of everything winning best score and Redmayne winning :o I will probably see this soon even if I don't think Redmayne will win the Oscar. Also surprised how well Boyhood did (I still don't think it will win best picture, something is telling me it won't)

I did think birdman would easily win best comedy/musical but I still think it'll win best picture at the oscars

The acting categories look quite easy to decide this year I think with Keaton/Moore/Simmons/Arquette winning at the oscars

So happy Amy won another golden globe, she is such an amazing actress :wub:

 

'How To Train Your Dragon 2' is fantastic (so much better than the first, I agree Ultra!) but 'Big Hero 6' AND 'Lego Movie' are so much better, that they deserved it more. 'Lego Movie' probably just edges BH6 due to the animation being used in an inspiring and unique way!

 

Great for 'Boyhood' too! I'm thinking this will be one of the years where both of the major ones from the GG differ from the Oscars main pick. I can see 'The Theory of Everything' winning the "Best Picture" award at the Oscars for some reason. I don't think Amy Adams will win there, either. But I've been happy with most of the winners this year tbh. Not seen 'Birdman' yet, but hoping to this week! I've heard it's very strange, but in a weirdly good way and it's really unique appaz, which could (and probably will) swing it in favour for the "Best Picture" Oscar (even though my gut is saying TTOE will win it).

Lego Movie is the best animated film since Toy Story 3. It's fantastic. Very odd that HTTYD2 won, even though I enjoyed it.

I've watched The Lego Movies 6 times now and liked it less and less each time. It started off as brilliant, but each time I've realised it's not actually that funny and when you know the twist most of the pathos is lost too.

I don't really like the Lego movie

Most of it is very good albeit very overrated and then the last 15 minutes with the twist is absolutely diabolical

I do agree that twist/last 15 minutes ruin it somewhat. However, the rest is great. Particularly the animation, which if you saw in 3D in the cinema was unlike anything I'd ever seen, so clever the way they created the 'Lego affect'

I think that's part of the problem for me, I did see it in 3D originally and it just can't match the magic of that at home (even on a 3D TV) obv.
