Now I've listened to the lyrics, it's really hit me quite hard and I relate to it quite a lot at the moment.

Marina's slow songs are always my favourites and it sounds like this will be no different.

Yep, she's such a consistently great lyricist. You never feel that anything's there just to fill space or whatever - everything counts and always seems honest.

the first two 'froots' show such a growth and maturing of marina as an artist, the emotional nuances, light and shade, less is more approach is really paying dividends.

 

how can you not be moved by 'happy'? it's just perfect.

 

marina here has mastered the knack for making a song entirely personal to you, as the listener you are just taken to a different place emotionally and making the listener feel that moment is unique them.

I really love this, she's absolutely nailed it really hasn't she? It's nice to have something so different from 'Froot' as well (as much as I do love it).

I like it but i am definitely Team Froot which is like a 11/10 to this 8/10. It's a nice shift of gear, but if i need to listen to new Marina it's still straight back to Froot for me at the moment.

Oh I prefer 'Froot' but that doesn't take anything away from the beauty of this. It's the lyrics that stand out to me and elevate this higher in my affections.
