Debuts at #29 on the Billboard Hot 100. :nocheer:

Like, seriously? Really thought it would get up to top 25 given its lead on Walk The Moon a while back.

it has sold 96,000.. #6 on digital chart, the sales are very poor, huge difference from 2013

Biggest digital song sales debuts of the year so far, according to Nielsen Music:

Rank / Title / Artist / Sales / Week Ending

1. All Day - Kanye West ft. Paul McCartney - 140,049 - 3/8/15

2. Only One - Kanye West ft. Paul McCartney - 124,737 - 1/4/15

3. Bitch Better Have My Money - Rihanna - 108,316 - 3/29/15

4. I Want You To Know - Zedd ft. Selena Gomez - 100,356 - 3/1/15

5. Pretty Girls - Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea - 96,000 - 5/3/15

I don't think so Rob; there's usually always a listing for new Britney videos; maybe they're waiting for a product placement-less alternative.

I keep looking out for it, but haven't seen anything yet. :(

Some details on the performance, this is from the guy that leaked PG's

There is a space theme to @britneyspears #BBMA performance. You'll see why this performance was hard to make happen when you see the props

The Pretty Girls performance tomorrow is simply a rehearsal.

Reid @rated_reid

@britneyspears will be performing live at the #BBMAs with @IGGYAZALEA. The performance is NOT pre-recorded.

Apparently they are performing the song live at her POM show tomorrow and using the footage for a epic intro.

TOO excited!! :yahoo:

I wonder what they're filming tomorrow then. Possibly an intro which has Britney teleport from her Piece of Me stage to the stage at the Billboard Awards?

Yeah that's what is being said.

This is going to be AMAZING. Her first high profile televised performance in YEARS! They seem to be going all out for it too
I love this video so much. I like the song before but the video has made me love it even more. I'm so addicted. I think friends are starting to worry about me. Ha.

1)Rolling Stone : In the campy video, Spears primps herself poolside when an alien (Azalea) suddenly falls from the sky. The pop singer is in her silliest form, playfully singing the track's lyrics and giving Azalea's alien character a Valley Girls makeover. Azalea's imitation of an alien imitating a stereotypical California accent falls flat, but the clip is reminiscent of some of Spears' best videos, including "(You Drive Me) Crazy" and "Oops!... I Did It Again."

2)Cosmopolitan The months of teasing have been worth it, guys. Because the video for Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea’s Pretty Girls is all kinds of amazing.

3)TIME After Iggy crash-lands in her pool (in a clear nod to the “My Prerogative” video), Spears gives her extraterrestrial guest a valley-girl makeover and proceeds to terrorize California with her car-wash dance parties reckless driving. (Why on Earth does she have a hair dryer behind the wheel?) If you find Azalea’s alien voice and Spears’ bubbly uptalk as grating as the Saran-wrapped track itself, just hit the mute button and watch Spears move. Say what you want about this oxygen-free collaboration, but she hasn’t looked this happy to be dancing in a video in some time.

4)The Verge Meet the new "Fancy." Iggy Azalea and Britney Spears recently collaborated on their new single "Pretty Girls," and just like last year's pop anthem, it's catchy as hell. . Natch. It's completely mindless, but we can't stop humming it, so there's a good chance it'll be on every radio station in a month

5)Billboard Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea's "Pretty Girls" music video is truly out of this world -- as in, the video stars Iggy Iggs as an alien bent on having a good time, with Britney Spears as her tour guide in stylish debauchery. Watch the delightfully unhinged music video, which premiered on Wednesday (May 13).

6)Entertainment Weekly The video for Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea’s “Pretty Girls” has arrived. Or should we say it has totally arrived. (We should totally say that.) Borrowing heavily from the 1988 Geena Davis cult classic Earth Girls Are Easy – even the fonts are the same – Spears and Azalea don their best valley girl clothes for the video, which also includes a short comedy interlude about Azalea’s “radical alien powers.”

7)Vulture As a Song of Summer contender, "Pretty Girls" is pretty bleh, but as a music video? It's definitely ... something. An apparent homage to 1988 Jeff Goldblum vehicle Earth Girls Are Easy — hey, it worked last time — the video stars Britney as a ditzy '80s valley girl and Iggy as an alien who comes to Earth to share her superpowered product placement with humanity. Good casting!

8)People While it's "far out" to see Spears, 33, and Azalea, 24, in an outrageously cheesy movie-style montage, the video also allows each star to shine on her own. There a solo rap break for Iggy and Brit gets not one, but two of her signature heavily choreographed dance scenes.

9)Mtv Britney is just an ordinary girl, with an ordinary crimped ’do, sitting by a pool. Until, wait, there’s Iggy, emerging from the water. She’s an alien? With a beehive? From the ’60s? She’s a time traveler? Whatever, answers aren’t necessary, because soon, Brit and Iggys — Briggy, if you will — are best friends and they decide to explore the world by driving around in their Jeep. It’s like one big spoof of “Earth Girls Are Easy.”

10)Wall Steet Journal Nearly two weeks after Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea released their single “Pretty Girls,” the duo unveiled the 1980s-flavored video for the song.

The clip taps into nostalgia for the decade’s clothes, aesthetics and slang. Spears sports a leopard-print top while Azalea rocks a denim vest. The video’s story, which features an alien version of Azalea getting a makeover courtesy of Spears and joining the cool-girls clique, is reminiscent of “Earth Girls Are Easy,” one of the quintessential ’80s comedies.

11)Slate “Pretty Girls,” Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea’s summer anthem, sounds like it was written in a boardroom—but the video is a feat of true absurdity. In an apparent homage to the 1989 Jeff Goldblum movie Earth Girls Are Easy, Valley girl Britney and sexy alien Iggy cruise around town in a yellow Jeep, flipping their hair and stopping off to engage in shenanigans at a car wash.

12)USA Today On Wednesday, Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea released their music video for “Pretty Girls.” The track sounds like a Britney-fied version of Azalea’s hit, “Fancy,” but the visuals are on another level entirely.

13)Allure The whole video is a crazy party full of Spears's signature dance moves, girls riding in convertibles, and Azalea actually being an alien. But what it's really about is that crimped hair. Would you rock the look?

Views are finally getting updated (still not all the way updated) but we are at just under 7 million at the moment!

8,220,626 views on YouTube, still not been a full 3 days.

It's averaging on about a million views every 2-3 hours. Hopefully the streaming points will get it a new peak before the BBMA performance.

I don't get how this isn't taking off on iTunes. It seems like all the big pop campaigns that try to stand out this year fail ('I Really Like You', now this). I hope the performance will do something, I feel like people don't "get" the video like they will have hoped.

the song is lacking radio support, she has less than 15m audience in US, the song simply can't get any higher. if she didn't had video and upcoming performance she would be around no.80 on itunes now... low audience low itunes sales.

in Europe only what I know that it has debuted at no.140 on German airplay like WTF

Europe has never been a huge supported of britters tho or atleast they haven't been for the past few years, her last big European hit must be like Womanizer
  • Author
never lol no, she had always hits in Europe with each era.. even WB was top 10 in some European countries. Germany, Netherlands and Austria are the only countries which has stopped support her by that I mean she has missed top 10 in last few eras with lead singles. and yeah Womanizer was her last hit in Germany Austria and Dutch coz she promoted that era in Europe ;) TTWE was her last European hit.
I think 'Pretty Girls' is just so different for her that people can't decide if they should get on board or not. It needed to perform really strongly on iTunes initially for radio to be confident and obviously it's not done that. But the BB performance isn't gonna boost it outside of the US, domino effect aside. So she needs to do something internationally.
