April 29, 201510 yr They shouldn't be looking down on her for doing X Factor promo, but somehow over the years Leona did get a lot of stick for that. "Oh she's only wheeled out once a year to push another ballad, she relies so heavily on the X Factor & Simon" and such comments. It seemed to be a problem for people and they liked to drag her down. It's similar with Cheryl. I'd like to think that because Leona's been away for a while (at least it feels like it!), that no one will be holding it against her to have a major slot for what is essentially a major comeback (if she does have Britain's Got Talent confirmed). BGT should hopefully be a different vibe to her X Factor appearances. The fact that this is her first pre-album release to not be focused on Q4 is quite refreshing in itself, so it's not like she's doing a rinse and repeat of previous eras this time around. I really hope that there's more goodwill shown to Leona this year. The single sounds fantastic by the way! It sounds like it should be a huge commercial hit, achieving success similar to Rolling In The Deep/Ghost/Counting Stars. Something that really grabs the public and becomes a long-lasting classic hit. Fingers crossed! I do have a good feeling about this era though. Leona seems very driven and confident lately and it feels like she's revitalised with this song... that alone makes me feel very positive about this era. Amen!!!!
April 29, 201510 yr Syco may have mishandled Leona in the later eras (though to be honest, I feel as though Christmas with Love was handled very well! - other than the silly decision not to perform OMS on J-Ross which would have had it chart at #2 rather than #3 like Mariah). BUT, Leona owes a lot to them/X Factor just as they do her. They may have organically separated but their growth together should be celebrated. I hope she continues to perform on both shows :)

I've just seen DS Forum Support banning people from talking about banned people, it's all very overpoliced! Plus over here you get a whole forum instead of just a thread! :kink: He has been banned for two weeks this time, so will miss commenting on the premiere through DS. What a shame, I know he's such a big fan and he was at the showcase and everything. Hopefully he'll realise that people have come here!
April 29, 201510 yr Hi, I love Leona and this new era looks to be her best for years. I've used the DS site previously but fed up with the 'Sense of humour failure' and terrible moderation they have over there.
