February 18, 201510 yr Author The OCC have updated their website, which now includes a Top 100 Midweek Chart archive. Using this, I see that 'Ghosttown' was #75, 'Devil Pray' was #89 and 'Bitch I'm Madonna' was #94 on the Wednesday after they were released.
February 28, 201510 yr Author The week 'Hold Tight' was #97 on the download (and sales-only) chart, 'Joan of Arc' was #120 and 'Iconic' was #153. If they were the other way round, they'd have charted in order of my preference.
March 2, 201510 yr Author From Music Week: Madonna captured most of the Brit Awards headlines after her fall, and her performance of Living For Love - the first single from upcoming, 13th studio album Rebel Heart - resulted in a number 26 chart debut for the track on sales of 17,936 copies. Her 2009 compilation, Celebration, also enjoys a lift, jumping 130-38 (2,476 sales). So 17,936 copies for 'Living for Love' in four days - more than double the 8,577 'Give Me All Your Luvin' sold in a week to debut at #37. It's also a little higher than the 17,922 that 'Get Together' sold at #7 back in 2006 too.
March 2, 201510 yr That's great. I hope the album sells well and she has some more success from this era.
March 11, 201510 yr Author Rebel Heart debuts at #3 in France with 16,999 copies sold. From francemusiccharts.wordpress.com: Rebel Heart is not Madonna‘s eighth Number One album in France, as it enters at number three with 16,999 copies sold (in only three days though). Her last studio LP MDNA had opened and peaked at two (behind Les Enfoirés) with 41,693 sales in March 2012.
March 11, 201510 yr It's interesting that it had a split week, but I guess sales will probably be alright in the end.
March 13, 201510 yr Author Thanks! Also #1 in Australia and Netherlands; #7 in New Zealand. Madonna has had 11 number one albums in Australia now - putting her joint with U2 for the record of #1s.
