Jax Jones – I Got U Peaked: 2 FHCYHldJi_g One of this year's summer's dance anthem with its catchable hooks and drums, its a feel good track and really sounds great when turned up loud and in your car with your window rolled down with the sun beating down your back, and with your shades on, pretty much sums it up. One of my favourite dance tracks of 2014, just pure classic dance.

Her album is not really my cup of tea, as I find Ghost and Glow the strongest tracks on the album, but I'm not knocking it, its her first, things can only get better from here onwards.
December 30, 201410 yr Author Hopefully top 5 this evening, if I don't get any distractions tonight as I would like to finish it off today.
December 30, 201410 yr Ooh I share the same position with you on one of these songs in your eoy :o not telling yet though :P Ghost, Crying For No Reason and Refugees are all brilliant songs imo. Especially Embrace who's album is a solid comeback. Did not like their 3rd choice of single though. Worst of the album too I think. Edited December 30, 201410 yr by Robert S
December 30, 201410 yr Author http://i759.photobucket.com/albums/xx240/MarthaJonesFan/Cover%20Sleeves/Sigma-NobodyToLove.png 5 Sigma - Nobody To Love Peaked: #2 KD5fLb-WgBU Another summer anthem this time belongs to Sigma, cool beats and very infectious, the track never gets old, still feels fresh listening to it, probably one of the best dance tune of the year. everything about it just falls into place. Pure perfection.
December 30, 201410 yr Author http://i59.tinypic.com/2j5ji8m.jpg 4 BANKS - Drowning Peaked: #1 (4wks) HzGHgQBPyV0 One of my favourite acts. Banks delivers on this tune, its just perfection with its dark and sultry lyrics. Her debut album "Goddess" is exceptional, not even a bad track on the album itself, other tracks on the album which are exceptional come from Brain, Beggin For Thread, Goddess, Waiting Game, the list is just endless the whole album delivers and stays on point, with haunting and powerful vocals on par with Natasha Khan (Bat For Lashes). One of my favourite albums of the year.
December 30, 201410 yr Author http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm82/TheMagicPosition86/twoweeks_zps215749c3.png 3 FKA Twigs - 2 Weeks Peaked: #1 (5wks) 3yDP9MKVhZc This is the single that made me took notice how good FKA Twigs is, the lyrics are just sultry and just blows you away on every listen, gives me goosebumps listening to it, I've never liked her material before this but "2 Weeks" ticks all the boxes. Her album "LP1" is one of the best new albums I've heard all year, with exceptional tracks that range from Pendulum, Video Girl, Lights I could go on. There was a time when tickets were available to go and see her live, but due to time constraints, I had to pass on, I just wish I found the time as her material is just exceptional, could do less of the swear words on certain tracks though.
December 30, 201410 yr Author http://i57.tinypic.com/2wd4ltc.jpg 2 Paloma Faith – Only Love Can Hurt Like This Peaked: #1 (4wks) PaKr9gWqwl4 Where do I start... Paloma Faith is probably my favourite female singer, 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' probably her best track to date, and watched her live this year, her performances were just perfect. Her sultry voice and lyrics are on point, 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' is the most mesmerizing track on the album "A Perfect Contradiction". My favourite tracks on the album 'Mouth To Mouth' and 'Taste My Own Tears' are just perfect and easy to listen to. On the whole the album is exceptional not even a bad track and still going strong after 3 studio albums, there is room for more, as her voice is so unique and different on the ear, it can only get better and better.
December 30, 201410 yr Author http://i39.tinypic.com/24c7692.jpg 1 Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne – Rather Be Peaked: 1 (3wks) m-M1AtrxztU And finally the #1 single of the year goes to Clean Bandit... collaborating with Jess Glynne, its so catchy and fell in love with the track on first listen, I just knew this track would be big, it just ticks all the boxes, with hooks and a catchy chorus to boot. Can't really fault the track it was in my personal chart for over 6 months and the track still sounds fresh. Their album "New Eyes" is a bit of a mix match, but I do also love "Real Love", but "Rather Be" sticks out like a sore thumb over the rest, one of the best dance tracks of the year.
December 30, 201410 yr Author And there you have it folks all done and dusted for this year, let's hope 2015 is a great year for new music, at the moment Mark Ronson is taking the lead.
December 30, 201410 yr Great #1, really is the best UK #1 of the year. Great to see Nobody To Love in the top five too, I'm just listening to it now...sounds even better in the sun!

January 2, 201510 yr Only love can hurt like this is so so beautiful and I am so happy it did great in the charts  Ghost is definitely one of my favourite songs this year, I adore it so much  Great chart Martin
January 2, 201510 yr Some great stuff in the top 10, Martin, Rather Be still sounds fantastic and a worthy winner, Nobody To Love, Ghost & Hideaway are some of the best number 1s of last year for sure. Budapest & Sky Full of Stars are still beautiful too. Also great to see Indiana & CHVRCHES in the top 40, the latter only really clicked with me recently but it's great. Did really like that Something A'La Mode thing too, probably my favourite of your BJSC entries this year.
