February 3, 201510 yr I don't feel that juries would intentionally mark down a song performed by people with Down Syndrome (aside: the comments that they should be called Syndrome of a Down is one of the few positive things about the Lad Bible covering this story). I don't think we can read too much into that. It's just.. I don't know. It's not particularly great on the musical front, I respect that they're trying their best, but I feel like I want that when we do get 'social commentary' acts, which are a necessity in small numbers, for the song to be quite enjoyable as well. That said, it is punk so it'll probably grow on me at least a little if it gets picked, God help the rest of you.
February 14, 201510 yr Author The third favourite to win before tonight's semi Siru and 'Mustelmat' has been eliminated tonight! :o Opera Skaala are through though.

According to rumours the citizen jury will contain 8 different juries of 4 people that represent different types of Finnish people and these different juries will be categorised into Children, Finnish Swedes, the LGBT community and Taxi Drivers amongst others. Who are the favourites? According to the bookmakers Betsson and Unibet, Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät are very clear favourites. If there is to be a major surprise then Satin Circus are the next most fancied entry with Opera Skaala the only other entry considered to have any chance at all of taking the title. February 28, 201510 yr PKN is growing on me. :D This is good news seeing as they've basically got it.
February 28, 201510 yr Really Satin Circus is the only one I really like, Opera Skaala is good in a "wtf is this" way but it does seem like PKN has this easily.
February 28, 201510 yr Author Running order rumours are that Satin Circus are on 2nd and PKN are on 8th (based on rehearsal order yesterday) which will certainly wrap it up for them :( In more positive news, apparently Satin Circus have completely revamped their performance for tonight. :D
February 28, 201510 yr Author Satin Circus won the citizen jury vote very easily, just a shame the public are surely going to go and mess this up now.
February 28, 201510 yr I haven't heard the winning song by Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät but I have heard 'Crossroads' thanks to Plug.DJ, they've missed a great opportunity there :(

February 28, 201510 yr Satin Circus would have done well yes, but I think PKN will do about as well, if not better. If an entry already has publicity like this it's a good sign and it's not going to be forgettable, that's for sure.
February 28, 201510 yr Author It's not going to qualify surely, it may have a lot of publicity but I can't see Europe rushing to vote for it as they won't be as invested in the back story as the Finnish public will have been.
February 28, 201510 yr It's not going to qualify surely, it may have a lot of publicity but I can't see Europe rushing to vote for it as they won't be as invested in the back story as the Finnish public will have been. And the fact the song is total horseshit will go against it as well I reckon.
February 28, 201510 yr Well nothing else is going to be soaking up rock votes at this rate. I do need to listen to most of the other entries admittedly but I'd be surprised if they missed out. Certainly will be surprised at them being last. It's not exactly a hard story to follow, I'm sure they will get plenty of votes for being able to do what they're doing.
February 28, 201510 yr Nor, indeed, are punk rock fans on the juries accross Europe or watching Eurovision on a Tuesday Night.
February 28, 201510 yr Author It'll get votes from Estonia but I can't see many other countries going for it in a big way at least.
February 28, 201510 yr Backstory or not this is absolutely HORRENDOUS :drama: The rock vote and the story will count for something though. It won't dead last in the semi or anything but I doubt it will do anything major if it does manage to qualify.
February 28, 201510 yr Wait, let me digest this. Findland, by choosing Satin Circus, would've had the best song of the contest so far (in my opinion). But instead they've pretty much got the worst. <_<
