It's not a bad song, but to me it doesn't sound as strong as their previous material. It's the Vaccines though so no doubt Radio 1 will playlist it to death :)

YAY glad they are still supporting her. I get ever so suspicious they would stop soon but yas. Hopefully it can pick up again on iTunes now :cheer:

Indeed it'll be playlisted in early Feb. I hope radio 1 play the new Vaccines one a lot because unlike pop artists not many other stations will so at least some mainstream audiences will hear it.

they are desperately pushing for it to be a hit and are trying to pick the right period for it to blow up. Which we don't really know if it will do well or not :lol:

Oh is Cassy O definitely getting released? When did he confirm that? Excellent choice though, would definitely be the best track on his album without Blame It On Me.

I suppose it makes sense to re-release 'Cassy O', although I would have hoped he'd have gone with a song he hadn't previously released!

 

Do you have a history of the playlist or did it just properly start in the 90s?

 

I think it's been sporadically published in the past, but only comprehensively in the last 20 years. I think the nearest it got to media sampling in the 70's was Rosko's Roundtable, where star guests gave opinions on new releases (without always knowing who they were) and listener reaction might have influenced the playlist. or not!
