Seems like a Radio 1 are getting behind the Ella track. No release date yet though. The Brits are 25Feb you would think they would line things up for the promo she'll get that week...

Maroon 5 - Sugar

 

I have to say this is the most I've enjoyed a Maroon 5 song since 'Misery' It does sound a lot like 'Birthday', but it improves on it, in my opinion anyway.

Looks like Radio 1 are gonna support 'Sugar' after all then. I didn't like it much at first but I have to admit it's a bit of a grower.

Radio 1 are playing Kelly quite a bit actually. Scott Mills is playing it now.

 

It's weird they didn't playlist it next week, but maybe they'll do it this Wednesday and give it 2 weeks before release instead?

good to see this becoming yet another dance smash although it's not one of my favourites, it lacks something for me right now but it'll probably grow.

 

just wish they'd make Cheerleader TOTD soon just to confirm it's being supported by them

I wonder if they'll playlist Lighthouse? Not sure if it'll be this week or next, however, so feel free to correct me. Either way, despite the Ugly Heart snub, I wouldn't be surprised to see them support Lighthouse - they've got a certain amount of hype around them and Ugly Heart was a proven hit, they latched onto Neon Jungle after they'd had a hit after all.

They do seem reluctant to support pop acts these days - see Cheryl "only" making it to the b-list with I Don't Care despite it being very radio friendly, a #1 single itself and following another #1 in Crazy Stupid Love, plus how they only latched onto The Vamps, 5SOS and Neon Jungle after they'd proven themselves to be capable of producing a hit. Not sure whether they'll bother with G.R.L. but I'm praying they do :(

Sadly I doubt they'll playlist G.R.L. probably too much wishful thinking there. I mean there isn't a chance they won't not playlistthe song but I strongly doubt it. Would help them out a lot if they do though.

 

I'm still hoping Sheppard get added because they did play 'Geronimo' a few times in December. They might have just given up supporting it though because of the constant delays. Would be nice for them to add it though especially when Greg said it sounded like a hit!
