I sadly think this is going to flop... out next week and still no video release and minimal airplay, radio 1 aside (Granted the latter cant really be helped). The song in itself is rather good but doesn't really scream 'HIT' so I cant say im too surprised

Its just a shame if this prevents Empire from ever seeing the light of day :(

P.S Every time I read a post by Mirror Man, I physically want to chuck a brick at my laptop. Make it stop please :arrr:
Tbf nowadays who DOES get a big hit with the album's fourth single? I mean look at huge album sellers like George Ezra and Paloma Faith for example. At this stage it's to keep her name out there and shift a few copies of the album.

I thought Empire was getting an AU release and video?!

BUT AGREED, make it stop -_-

Empire was something like #74 on Aussie itunes the other day when I had a look at their chart but it's not there anymore - it's going to be on an advert (or has been idk) anyway I remember.
Yeah but I meant a full blown UK release. Aint nobody got time for OZ only success -_-

Too early to write off Mirror Man, as no one knows what promo is lined up in the next 2 weeks, especially re commercial radio and TV.

It rose 400 places to #250 and Chapter One 70 places to #50 solely after her Radio 2 appearance. So will be interesting to see what the Lottery performance does...

But in context yes it is single 4 and surely the priority now should be single 2 in the US....

Was played on R1 a few times today

Ella has flown out to the US today (I guess something re US single 2?)

So I guess they are sensibly prioritising that rather than single 4 here....

I think they see Mirror Man as a vehicle to maintain a rolling media profile but have no expectation of a 'big hit'

Ella fans rejoice for the Moderators have said "no more" to the devil of her threads.
Has Mirror Man been banned then, Umi?

Edited by Joe.

Permanently!
Permanently!

Rejoice.

Anyway, I heard this on the radio for the first time today. It sounded nice.

Thank the Lord!

Indeed this sounds great on the radio, really nice production job. I think it will bubble along for a good while, helping the album.

expect a notable rise for all Ella's singles following mirror man's banning
