The tour has grossed $169.8m 1,045,479 tickets sold at 82 performances, according to Billboard. That's not a great result to be honest, the last two were obviously stadium tours so there's no real, fair, comparison, but Confessions had 60 shows in 2006 at similarly sized venues (around 100,000 more attendee's) yet in 2016 dollars it grossed $223M. Obviously she's done well, but that's a worrying sign for the future.

Confessions was not in similar size venues in the states .

Well, total attendance was 10% higher either way, but the gross was way more than 10% higher.

 

I'm not even quite sure what point I'm trying to make really, other than it would seem EVERY aspect of her stock is at a low.

LOL john I think you're talking out of your derriere on this one. That tour figure is fantastic. Tickets were significantly cheaper in most of Europe which is why the gross is lower.

I'd imagine it's in terms of box office gross, given U2, The Rolling Stones and Madonna seem a little too AGED to be nominated otherwise. Though of course the age limits on COCK ROCK don't really apply.
