Midweek #12. Obviously it'll fall during the week, but that's about 2k sold so far so it's on lock for the Top 40 and will easily outpeak the MDNA World Tour album (and will likely have already outsold its first week sales of 1,759).

It's such a good listen! Glad it's going to make an impact on the top 40 :D

Surprised it is selling better than MDNA , cd sales have seriously dropped since that release.

 

It's probably because the full show was released on CD with the full DVD.

You have to purchase rebel heart full cd and DVD separately .

The sales for the DVD and CD of the MDNA Tour had a total of 7,358 on its first week when you combined the two, so that'll be a more equal comparison to make, assuming Music Week gives us sales for both.

 

Fingers crossed we get an updated total for the Rebel Heart album!

#15 in the UK mids today. Sold 1,797 copies so far this week, including 152 copies yesterday.

Tesco are not stocking i looked yesterday which is a shame.

Apparently Madonna only sold 8 copies yesterday?! :lol: The total now stands at 1,805 copies - surely there's something up there.

Debuted at #42, just missing out on the Top 40 position it looked certain to get. :( There must have been some sort of stock issue towards the end for the album to be selling in single figures per day.

Although they have punctuated her career, live albums account for only one of Madonna's 21 Top 10 hits. The latest, Rebel Heart Tour - a keepsake for the tour that concentrated on her 2015 No.2 album Rebel Heart - debuts at No.42 (1,993 sales). Madonna's last live album, MDNA World Tour, reached No.55, and has sold 23,220 copies since its release four years ago.

It did beat the first week sales of the MDNA World Tour album (1,759). I'm guessing those total sales for that album combine both the CD and DVD.

 

Shame we didn't get a DVD total for Rebel Heart Tour nor a total for the studio album itself.

True, although less than 2k pure sales to reach the Top 20 truly is abysmal.

The album has done better in other places around the world - #20 in Australia, Top 10 in both Belgium charts and Germany and #4 in Italy.

 

The DVD was #1 on the video charts for Australia, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands and Sweden, as well as reaching the Top 10 in Germany and Japan.

I can reveal this was 27 copies away from the Top 40 in the UK last week. :(

Fab performance! It was so great to see 'Deeper & Deeper' get recognition in 2015 - it's a huge fan fave but remained unacknowledged for so long. Hopefully the reactions from fans hearing and seeing such gems performed means they'll appear on future tours.

Deeper and Deeper was the highlight for me :wub:

ALSO I saw this in HMV but I didn't buy it because I need to reseach and make sure I get a version I want most. Basically I want all of her tours on DVD but I need them in the same/similar packaging and in HMV I saw one version with a standard DVD case and another blu-ray one with a small cardboard case (they also had the Confessions tour in same format).

 

SO I shall research and then decide which one to get :')

I'm holding off getting Madonna's albums on vinyl just in case we ever getting special editions at any point (like next year to celebrate Madonna's 60th).
