Rumoured names include Rilaya, Chingiz Mustafayev and Aysel Mamedova. Azerbaijan provide strong entries and strong stage performances every year, but it will be interesting to see if they put even more effort in this year following Dilara's low finish last year.
January 17, 201510 yr They've probably realised their budget for the NF can best be used in other areas *WINK WINK* Although I will miss the annual outing of "Azeri English" cover versions of ESC songs. ?v=_aN8UCM5fo4
February 27, 201510 yr Author So despite Milli Seçim Turu being previously announced for March, it now seems it has been abandoned and instead the Azerbaijani broadcaster has opened up for submissions! The deadline is March 6th with the entry to be revealed on March 15th. Unfortunately for Kitty Brucknell, you have to be from Azerbaijan or its diaspora to take part - although the songwriters can be of any nationality. http://esckaz.com/2015/aze.htm
February 27, 201510 yr Unfortunately for Kitty Brucknell, you have to be from Azerbaijan or its diaspora to take part :kink: Azerbaijan seem to be in a panic with what to send!
February 27, 201510 yr Author They should just bring back Sabina with another 'When The Music Dies'! (I still feel like they could end up entering some sort of "reply song" to Armenia's entry though...)
March 4, 201510 yr Author Someone on ESC Forum has posted: So, judging by the activities of certain individuals, it seems that the song will be a Stefan Örn / Sandra Bjurman / Ian James creation.... they are in the studio together. Plus, the singer of the entry (whoever it is) has arrived yesterday in Stockholm. Looks like they may have given up on their submission process and got straight on the phone to their Swedish friends! Good choice Azerbaijan
March 9, 201510 yr Author Rumours are that it is nearly guaranteed that it will be Elnur Hüseynov who was the angel in Azerbaijan's debut 2008 entry, and won The Voice of Turkey last month.
March 9, 201510 yr Rumours are that it is nearly guaranteed that it will be Elnur Hüseynov who was the angel in Azerbaijan's debut 2008 entry, and won The Voice of Turkey last month. Oh I do hope so! He was rather amazing last time! I don't care if Azerbaijan tries to win in a corrupt manner, they're good at delivering the goods!
March 15, 201510 yr Author Elnur Huseynov - Hour Of The Wolf "a mystical contemporary ballad" composed by Nicolas Rebscher, Nicklas Lif, Lina Hansson. The lyrics were written by Sandra Bjurman, Nicolas Rebscher, Nicklas Lif and Lina Hansson. Listening now! :D
March 15, 201510 yr Very good! With excellent staging that should see Azerbaijan return to the top 10.
March 15, 201510 yr Author If they can recreate that choir on stage, this is definitely a potential winner. Absolutely fantastic! The mystique of this song is what I was hoping from the Czech song, so I'm glad it's arrived via Azerbaijan!
March 15, 201510 yr I think they're back on form after two poor entries. Has the potential to come across pretty special with the performance.
March 15, 201510 yr Author It's getting a very positive reaction across the forums, and several fans love to dislike Azerbaijan when they can - so it's a very good sign!
March 15, 201510 yr This is pretty good, not amazing but in a year where there's no real WOW THIS WILL WIN standout I agree this could snatch it. There are only sort of like 4 or 5 songs I can really see winning so this has a chance if they can capture the feel of the studio version on stage.
March 18, 201510 yr One of the better ballads. I'm not totally sold (without any Azerbaijan bias or anti-bias), but my god, that title is great. Had some pretty good titles springing up recently with 'Chain Of Lights' too.
