The Salt N Pepa lyric is

Yeah, you! Come here, gimme a kiss

Better make it fast or else I'm gonna get pissed

which is peed off context. A mild swear word, sure, but not standard daytime listening back then.

That does tend to appear every time Push It appears on a compilation. It was even left on Now Yearbook 1988 and as for the c word appearing in Happy Talk, it was also used when it appeared on Now 100 Hits Even More Forgotten 80s

Since when has god damn been a swear word. Most compilations that This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race by Fall Out Boy appears on, they remove the word god from god damn from most compilations like Now Millennium 2006-2007 for instance, but it did appear on Now 66

Americans can be quite funny about the phrase 'God damned' or variants thereof so it may be something along those lines.

*Tasmin Archer- In Your Care (Now 24) ('son of a ...!') depending on perhaps context or what you think of the word, I suppose, although performed on TOTP on radio as per..

And that same version appears on Now Yearbook 1993

Yes I noticed this a lot of American artists will censor this - ie Taylor Swift on karma. From “goddamn acrobat” to “vegas acrobat” on the clean version! Funny cos I don really see uk artists changing damn or goddamn when they do clean version
