At 28 is Carol Jackson. What a year Carol has had! Her cancer storyline was gripping and Lindsay's acting was outstanding! Of course, we did have to watch as David broke her heart again as they were about to finally get married. I am very please that Carol has managed a position inside of the top 30 as she is a very good character.

In at number 27, is the girl who was responsible for a year of us sitting on the edge of our seats. Just who killed Lucy Beale? (Bobby) Apart from her death, obviously, we saw Lucy fall out with all of those who were closest to her. We saw her sleep with Max, Lee and probably anything with a pulse. Ok, she wasn't that bad...

26. Babe Smith (7.62)

Ok, why is Babe so high? Anyway, 2014 saw the introduction to another member of the Carter clan, Aunt Babe. Babe is the sister to Tina, Mick (at the time) and Shirley's mother, Sylvie. I think Babe will go down in history to have one of the must haves if you were to ever visit Walford - Trifle. Her Trifle will join Jean's Sausage Surprise and Dot's Battenberg in the EE canteen We also saw Babe's love/hate relationship with Stan and learned of her helping a teenage Shirley deliver Mick in a caravan.

25. Phil Mitchell (7.68)

In at #25 is the EE hard man, Phil Mitchell. Last year we saw Phil marry Sharron and have a fling with his on/ off girl friend, Shirley. We also saw Phil arrange for Sharon to be attacked and we watched him and Ben's relationship as father and son mend.

24. Patrick Trueman(7.68)



One of EE's most under used characters! Patrick's main storyline was his stroke in 2014. I have to be honest and say that Rudolph Walker was tremendous when acting this storyline. So realistic and believable!

Coming in at number 23 is Linda's mother, Elaine! Elaine has shown us that she has a massive personality and enjoys poking her nose in the business of her daughter and her family. Despite only being a guest character, Elaine has received positive reviews from fans and hopes to become a regular in the future!

The middle Carter child (before we knew about Mick and Shirley) is out next. Tina had a dramatic 2014 with her on/ off relationship with Tosh and her battle against domestic violence. Tina has also struggled to keep her feelings for Sonia under control as the pair often end up kissing in the park.

Just missing out on the top 20 is arguably the best child actor in the show, Cindy. We have seen Cindy struggle with the birth of her daughter, Beth, as she brought the issue of teenage pregnancy up (again.) Cindy has also struggled to decide if she would rather shag Liam or TJ. (SKET.)

Elaine coming 23rd is a major shock since she's appeared in about 5 episodes and is a tad overrated.

How is Tina so high though? :unsure: She's just like a giant needy child yet she's 40 years old.

Pipping Cindy to the post for a top 20 position is Kat. Walfords very own tart has had a very dramatic 2014 with a deadly fire almost killing her caused by Alfie, who she spent half of the year trying to win back... (Why?) I find Kat one of the funniest characters in EE and adore her!

I'm surprised Kat is this low, she's easily one of EE's best characters when away from Alfie. I guess 2015 has been a better year than 2014.

The loud mouthed, drunk blonde, is out next. Roxy is definitely one of my favourite drunk EE characters. 2014 was quite a quiet year for Roxy, however she was not completely out of the picture. Roxy spent most of 2014 deciding whether or not to stay with on / off boyfriend Alekz. This also leads to some of her iconic 2014 lines such as 'do I look Latvian!?'
