June 16, 201510 yr True, but he did betray Jon and though we can't really blame him for his emotional mess-up, I really want to after he's spent this entire season being nothing but an annoyance and the face of the Watchers who irrationally hate the wildlings. He's also now directly responsible for killing both Jon and Ygritte. That was the main reason I put him at the top. Ser Alliser has had some likable moments for me. Like not betraying Jon last episode when he could have and opening the gates for the wildlings. So there's not many, but a few and while I'm very disappointed in him, as I would have thought him more pragmatic than to betray Jon given the main threat, I don't want to see him dead as much. In minute amounts of course. Ellaria was just being very two-faced. That's probably slightly personal as I grew to like Myrcella quite quickly but the way it'll work out will be adding a huge amount of conflict, kills an innocent girl, will result in so many more deaths, is going to set her against Tristayne and Doran and will probably eventually lead to the downfall of Dorne. I suppose both Olly and her have reasons for why they've done what they've done but I think sympathy for their plight went out the window when they did it. I did consider Littlefinger & Strong but I can't pin the former down for anything so bad that I think we'd want to see him dead (arguably a big reason why we should want to) and the latter's just a brute. They'd probably be 9th and 10th on the list. Completely forgot about Ilyn but he's a good shout too.
June 16, 201510 yr I did consider Littlefinger & Strong but I can't pin the former down for anything so bad that I think we'd want to see him dead Really? He spent all of season 1 telling Ned Stark how he was his best mate and that he basically owned the Kingsguard because they were so corrupt only to turn round as Ned confronts Joffrey and betray him with a big grin on his face.  The slimy little sh*t essentially had Ned killed to get to Catelyn and then when she died sold Sansa off to the very people who killed her mother knowing she'd be in trouble.  He's a complete git. And one of my favourite characters.
June 16, 201510 yr Everything about the last episode I loved, Cersie walk of shame was so heartbreaking, probably the best bit of the whole episode. For some reason I don't see Jon coming back, the only bit I didn't get when they stabbed him, they all shouted "Watch" what does that mean. I didn't care much of Anya's part in that episode, apart getting her revenge. There is still some things left unanswered at KL, Margery and the King, whatever his name is. I wasn't expecting Myrcella's life been cut short, I'm hoping she survives. So many things are left open, what is going to happen to Dany, Sansa and Theon after their jump. Just can't wait a whole year for the final series, unless the final series is spread over 2 seasons.

There are two more series to go. That's always been the plan. They all said 'For The Watch' as in the Nights Watch. Because they considered Jon had betrayed their cause by 'siding' with their traditional enemy, the Wildlings they killed him to save the 'Watch'.
June 17, 201510 yr I loved the finale, so many cliff hangers, and I'm still hungry for more. I'm glad the show hasn't run out of steam. That being said, I'd like to not see it drawn out much longer. I think 2 more series would be ample. I do like the pace of the show, but I really think it's time to start building towards the actual war of the thrones and Dany's inevitable invasion soon. They can't really wait for the last two books now as they've pretty much caught up in many cases. I don't want to see the show being dragged out until 2025.
June 25, 201510 yr Author There is no way Jon Snow is dead. There were way too many hints about ressurections, and black magic in this episode, and not least the reappearance of Melissandre. I think she saw something in her prophecy to make her travel back to Castle Black.
June 26, 201510 yr Author I think Melissandre was just saving her ass, tbh. No she definitely saw something. Whether she foresaw Jon's death idk, but in my mind there is no way Jon Snow is dead.
June 27, 201510 yr Currently working my way through this after giving it a second try. I started about 9 days ago or so and I'm really getting into it now. Fantasy really isn't my cup of tea at all usually and the first time I gave this a go, I really couldn't get into it. Now I'm on episode 7 of Season 2 (just got to the bit where Khaleesi's dragons have been stolen from!) and I'm really getting into it. Glad I gave it another go. I think I know all the main spoilers, but that doesn't bother me as I'm treating it as if I've read the books etc.. So glad I'm finally getting into it and really enjoying it! I've been told not to have favourites though
June 27, 201510 yr Oh, do have favourites, just be prepared to have lots of backups too. :DÂ I had wondered how people who haven't caught up were avoiding the spoilers or whether that was just an impossibility now it's so big. Plenty of good show to come from where you are though, it just gets better for the most part.
July 15, 201510 yr I am catching up with this fast and have just seen 'Hardhome'. Wow. Up there as one of my favourite episodes of all time. Everything at Hardhome was utterly mesmerising and quite literally had me gasping throughout. The show evokes so many emotions and for most of this it was sheer TERROR. I loved the entirety of the scenes at Hardhome, it was expertly done. The show often keeps me gripped or shocks me in isolated scenes but this was an entire HALF episode where i could not take my eyes off the screen. The season started very slowly for me, it took about 5/6 episodes for me to start enjoying it like i was in Season 4 but this has completely blown everything out of the water. I hope the final few episodes continue at a similar pace. Gah i need to just unwind and destress after that mammoth episode :drama:
July 15, 201510 yr 'Hardhome' is probably my favourite episode of the entire series too! (I finished the whole series about half an hour ago, myself!) It was so amazingly made and expertly done (as you said) that most big blockbuster movies could only dream of doing. The last two episodes didn't really do much for me personally, bar a couple of scenes here and there. The ending annoyed me though. I just don't believe that would happen, especially after the events of 'Hardhome' and stuff. Ah well. Well, after saying numerous times (and I mean NUMEROUS!) "I'll never watch it. It's shit."... here I am. Just as addicted as everyone else. The thing I love the most about this show is how it fleshes out EVERY character, no matter how big or small a part they play. There is SOME form of connection. That's rare. Even moreso for a cast as big as this show.
July 21, 20159 yr I am all caught up (finally!).  Cersei's walk of shame was utterly gut-renching. How the show can manage to make you feel so sorry for such a poisonous character is beyond me, but they did it and then some. The look in her eye after it was all over and the thoughts of REVENGE in her mind... dare i say i want to cheer her on to enact it? I saw a spoiler for the big death so it wasn't such a shock for me. I wonder what it was like watching it without knowing that because in a way it almost seemed anti-climactic after Cersei's scene  Still a bitterly cruel end to the season and the final shot was heart breaking nonetheless. I really liked the Theon & Sansa scene too - a simple shot of them joining hands was enough to warm my heart amidst the very cold and cruel episode. A very good end to what i must admit is probably one of the weakest seasons yet. This episode, 'Hardhome' and bits of 'The Dance of the Dragons' were the only ones that really sparked strong emotions in me, compared to season 4 which was relentless with it. Can't wait for #6 though naturally. The show keeps on giving and is not slowing down for anything!
July 22, 20159 yr Took me nearly four months but totally up to speed with this all now. Am I the only one who likes Cersei Lannister?
July 22, 20159 yr ^ she is an absolute evil BITCH but i love her all the more for that reason. One of the strongest, most well-developed characters in the entire show! Have we all heard the rumours about you-know-who being on the set / flying to Belgium today? Seems ~they~ might be returning after all :o

July 22, 20159 yr Cersei is absolutely horrible, resulting in me really trying to restrain myself for feeling sorry for her during the walk of shame. Â There wasn't really any doubt in him returning, I would be more surprised if he didn't!
July 22, 20159 yr She's a bad bitch and that's why I love her! ha I am sure ~they~ are coming back. but whyyy, I can't stand ~them~ :/
July 23, 20159 yr Doesn't really tell us anything. ~They~ could be filming ~their~ funeral/fire scene or something, for all we know. As for Cersei I never pitied her for a second! All I was thinking was that they couldn't be more wrong to mess with her. And to think things will get EVEN worse when Jaime comes back and she finds out her daughter is (I guess) dead. If she doesn't wipe out the entire 7 Kingdoms I'll be disappointed.
July 23, 20159 yr They aren't the only one to be seen 'unexpectedly' on set either this year. Rooney's right though. At the moment it proves nothing as Charles Dance came back to film an episode after Tywin's death. However, if he continues to be on set for the duration of filming... Personally, I expect him back but it would be funny to have him on set all year and then not in the show just to troll everyone
